Oh, I agree. Yet this doesn't preclude someone selling this to Fox in a meeting "Look at how popular this is, based on this metric I'm cherry-picking" without digging too deeply, and without 20 years of hindsight.
It was BS, but someone said it, for sure.

In the end, it doesn't matter, because the cartoon was seen by even more people yet.

The first X-Men movie referenced it.

    TAS all day.

Can't wait for Feige to bust out the theme song for their MCU debut.

They will likely do an updated version of the video above.

Honestly, I forgot about this. Still, I wouldn't mind another rendition of the old theme in the modern MCU.

I'm thinking it will be like Spiderman's. Short but sweet. I wouldn't have minded an updated 90's theme for him either, though technically that's a rendition of the original.

Strange the films didn’t keep it.

It really goes to show how far the old cartoon's influence went, but I also didn't mind the theme from X-2, Days of Future Past, and Apocalypse.

    IMHO, it's the better theme.
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."
