It is interesting to note that the Phoenix which is the ultimate cosmic expression of Life > Death > Rebirth is actually really fascinated with the mutants of Earth. She keeps coming back for various reasons that involve mutants, the last big one was to come back and reverse the effects of the Decimation.

Or it could have been to bring back its favorite host then, only the Avengers kinda screwed up its plans.......(haven’t read AvX in a bit, they could have had the Phoenix Five state the opposite as its goal)

The blue doctor-esque one and the bald dome head one give me a Dragonball Z feel.
The Slender Man Sentinel is freaky in a cool way. Nimrod version x.0 also looks good.

Jordan: I can’t REALLY answer that without giving you the context of what she is doing in HOX and why. What happens in this series really changes things across the board, and so far, I don’t think anyone has really glommed onto how or how much. So, Monet is gonna be in a very different place when we see her next, because pretty much everyone is in a very different place because of what happens here.

I guess this means the Mars theory is out.

I think it's easy to see that House of X will be a "current" timeline book and that Powers is what happens in the future (or another dimension) based on House's events. This absolutely isn't time travel in the sense that the characters aren't interacting directly. Think Age of Apoc in this sense.
