Why was the Phoenix randomly blowing up planets? Seriously, the Avengers had every right to be worried about a giant bird made of space fire blowing up planets headed towards Earth, then Wolverine gives the Avengers a crapload of BS, and then punching happens.
When the Phoenix nopes a planet, it's supposed to be because that world has stopped the progress of life and the advancement of evolution. It "Burns away that which does not work". But I'm chalking this one up to an extremely lazy way of showing the audience how powerful the bird is, even with it's host in the White Hot Room.

I wish Rachel had said more, since she was at the school, and was a walking talking contradiction.

Logan had Rachel at his school, the whole event has an idiotic premise. Rachel even betrays Logan and joins Scott because everything could have been solved by asking a true expert.

And the worst part of all this is we have now in charge of the X-books someone that, after all this, still thinks Cyclops was wrong.

Fortunately, Hickman seems to have the opposite idea.

Storm was at the Avengers mansion when they were rallying together to go take on the X-men in regards to the P5. Rachel wasnt there. Storm could and should have challenged Logan. She was new to the team but she was well known enough that they'd respect her especially given that Logan was very biased due to his recent Schism with Scott

You're right, Storm could have done more, but the real problem is that Capi never doubted Logan and it never occurred to him to ask Rachel, who should be the first person to turn to in case of a problem with the Phoenix.

A cosmic entity that destroys planets and your expert is Logan? It's as if Galactus came to Earth and you ask Luke Cage his opinion.

It wasn't. The entire plot came down to the fact that the Avengers and Wolverine were wrong to try and prevent the Phoenix from getting to Hope even if they tried to dress it up like they were the only reason she was able to control it (see: she wasn't. She definitely didn't need that BS Iron Fist training), the Phoenix was never trying to destroy the Earth. And then look at what happened the next time the Phoenix came around: the Avengers literally did not care, probably because they were proven incorrect.

Which makes even less sense because that's the job of Galactus, to eat away worlds. These entities are so powerful, yet they can't just slip Galactus a memo to eat a world.

It was like the first three pages of AvX Issue 1. The Phoenix randomly blows up a throwaway planet as Sam Alexander flees it.

Galactus eats worlds that have strayed from the Celestial Order. It's a small difference. It's like the Warhammer 40K difference between Khorne and Slaanesh. Technically they both govern the thrill of killing in battle, but if you kill for the sake of strength, your soul goes to Khorne. If you kill for the pleasure of killing, your soul goes to Slaanesh.

Of course he isn't perfect, but if they didn't listen to Wolverine, none of that war would have happened.

The only mistake he made was putting Laura on the assassination squad. I don't think he deserved to be called Hitler for that.

When Hope uses the Phoenix Force to defeat Bastion, Iron Man is literally standing right there.

He made more mistakes, the problem is that he became the cool edge rebel and nobody can't ever say he wasn't right. There is a lot more nuance on it

I had more issue with Elixir being placed there than Laura, whom was about that lifestyle.
