Just wild speculation, but maybe Xavier plants Krakoa seeds all over the planet effectively making the earth both sentient and a mutant, which causes worldwide environmental changes that are favorable to mutants.

I've been clamoring for Hickman on the X-Men for years and I can't believe I'm finally getting it in a few months time... July is the new 25th December.

Pepe and R.B. always know how to bring the gorgeous, and Marte Gracia's colours complement their art beautifully.

I have no idea what's going on in these previews and who is wearing what costume, but I'll be waiting for the answers with bated breath. I will say this though - I think "Powers of 10" is to be taken literally. As in, the future of mutantkind is in the hands of 10 mutants... You know, like the Twelve, only Ten. Alternatively, given the attention that's been given to Cable's gun - what if Forge's neutralizer fun has been modified to siphon off the powers from one mutant and transfer them to another? And that's how you end up with amalgams of existing characters like Magik/Colossus and Nightcrawler/Gambit?

What if in fact THESE are their true powers and Cable has been controlling them along the timeline?

Something like Xavier did not want the mutants to be too powerful because people would fear them much more if they reached their true potential.
