That got me thinking who were the most prolific artists at DC and Marvel and I came across these stats from 2014.

    1. Curt Swan:
    1415 stories; 18865 pages; 1012 covers
    2. John Buscema: 813 stories; 17899 pages; 588 covers
    3. Jack Kirby: 1326 stories; 17310 pages; 1634 covers
    4. John Byrne: 735 stories; 15143 pages; 741 covers (probably more by now)
    5. Gene Colan: 1148 stories; 14940 pages; 416 covers
    6. Sal Buscema: 672 stories; 13517 pages; 348 covers
    7. Carmine Infantino: 1053 stories; 12810 pages; 490 covers
    8. Gil Kane: 923 stories; 11964 pages; 1556 covers
    9. Ross Andru: 873 stories; 10669 pages; 543 covers
    10. Dan Jurgens: 461 stories; 10556 pages; 432 covers (probably more by now)

Too many to choose, but I'd have to go with Perez if I must pick one.

Adam Hughes, I remember being in awe of his work on Justice League before he went to covers and made me in awe of his Wonder Woman.

Joe Kubert (unless Will Eisner counts with DC having reprinted a bunch of his stuff).

If I had to pick a second place it would be Darwyn Cooke.

Since other people are listing more than one.

Again, my top favorite is Adams.

After him, I think I will go with George Perez and John Byrne. What Perez did on Crisis is absolutely stunning, and I think John Byrne draws Superman better than anyone else.

Dave mckean. Didnt do a lot but really enjoyed his Sandman covers book with his stories behind each cover. Pretty unique talent.

    My Top 10

Carmine Infantino - YEARS ahead of his time.
Jim Aparo - For me, the definitive Batman artist (loved his Aquaman too)
Mike Wieringo - The Flash has had some incredible artists, 'Ringo made Wally his own
Francis Manapul - Another AMAZING Flash artist who turns everything he touches to gold.
Phil Jiminez - The bloke can draw anything and make it look amazing.
George Perez - For me, THE DC artist. More so than Cardy, Infantino, Adams etc.
Curt Swan - THE Superman artist
Dan Jurgens - Love this guy's work too.
Jose Luis Garcia Lopez - A SERIOUSLY underappreciated artist.
Gil Kane - Another seriously underappreciated artist
