During Crisis On Infinite Earths, I pronounced Harbinger just like it's written, with a strong 'g', like 'ringer' or 'singer' until someone told me the 'g' was pronounced like a 'j'.

LOL! That would be Ibn al Xu'ffasch (means Son of the Bat), the son of Batman(Bruce Wayne) and Talia al Ghul.

Some suggestion for the House of al-Ghul pronunciation - http://varevare.tumblr.com/post/2048...nciation-guide

It can also be bad. There was a character in an episode of the original Battlestar Galactica called Chameleon, but it was pronounced with a soft C to make Shameleon. So that's how I pronounced Chameleon Boy for awhile.

When Annihilus first appeared in Fantastic Four Annual #6, I , along with my friends who read comic books, pronounced his name as "Annie-heelus."

Only in the last couple of years have I found out the correct pronunciation is "An-nigh-ilus."

This pronunciation still sounds odd to me.
