Of course they are. It's a sad commentary on what happens when hatred is enabled and endorsed at or by the highest levels of authority and leadership.

Except we've seen this over and over and over with the X-Men again. HUMANS BAD MUTANTS GOOD. It gets to the point where it feels like it is hamfisted.

Much more civilized than I expected. It's a bit funny that Steve is against what they do even if he does not know what they are doing but in general I liked the meeting.

Yes, there must be something behind this (the card is a Mystique tracer or something like that) or it seems pointless.

It's not just that. You've got Hope and the MLF playing eviiiil-mutant-terrorists-zomg-must-protect-human-bullies and "Steve" bothers showing up to discuss the kind of covert operation nobody would regularly give an efff about in the MU.

Heck, Mystique showing up on the HFC's orders just to break up Scott's newest professional relationship would make more sense than the real Steve showing up just to have that particular talk.

I want Scott to call 1-800-Avenge-Me and see exactly what Cap and the others will do to help mutants. I'm betting nothing, claiming their hands are tied political. Like it's so difficult to put up a few hunted mutants in Avengers Mansion or Stark Tower or anywhere a billionaire's resources or super spy's connections can find that's safe.
