Sure, I agree. I believe what I saw was the "kick-off" of the climactic fight and nothing more.

Stuff already kinda confirmed by toys confirmed, but devoid of context or resolution, so it will be interesting to see where they are going with it
It seems like very minor characters from the different franchises may get at least a cameo, so I expect quite a few surprises
I don't know how you ever top what the final act appears to be
Something happens that everyone has always wanted and theaters are going to fucking erupt with cheering/applause, may need to have earplugs at the ready

Those are the impressions I walked away from the scattered footage I saw, without any details about what it was.
    I appreciate that!

I have to say though, I think anyone reading this thread and your post could easily come to the conclusion that the thing that “everyone has always wanted” is for Captain America saying “Avengers Assemble”.

Surely that can’t be the mind blowing thing you are alluding to? I have to ask because that quote has never held any significance for me, personally.

    Thanks again

Hmm. To me, that's like "well, of course." The only other options were it's not part of MCU at all (which given Fury is in it, that was never an option) or it was the end of Phase 3. Disney is not going to kick off Phase IV with another studios movie.

Well, it was originally supposed to be a Phase 4 film. But now we have another Phase 2 situation where a much smaller film (Ant-Man, Far From Home) will conclude the phase rather than the previous, and much bigger Avengers film.

From the speculation and rumors, anybody else get a feeling that this uses some ideas from Busiek's AVENGERS FOREVER series? Minus Kang and Rick Jones of course.

Maybe I only thought I saw this but it seems that a glimpse of a suited Iron Man in the last trailer showed him in the red and gold spandex-looking suit from the early comics. Anyone else notice this? Alternate Tony?

re establishing the status quo in a sony movie grinds my gears for whatever reason.

Spider-Man wasn't even listed on the Disney+ release list

    It just feels wrong! lol

Well, Avengers Forever has been the earliest rumored inspiration for this film. For a while there, people thought the film would be titled Avengers Forever.

I still think that Far From Home takes place before Infinity War. But we'll see.
I hope that the films end up being very financially successful.
I hope the stories introduce some new heroes and villains who will last beyond one movie.

Dr. Strange interacting via the astral plane in Banner's mind would make for a good sequence, intriguing. He can see all the Hulks that haven't come out yet.

I mean I don’t know why Feige would have any reason to lie about that. He’s been on record for many months now saying that Far From Home will take place “minutes after Endgame”.
