Most people seemed to have a distaste for the "Spider-Totem" storyline in JMS Spider-Man, and it's not hard to see why. Even people who did like it often said that it could've been executed better.

That being said, "Immortal Hulk" seems to have mostly favorable reviews despite being very far out of the norm for a Hulk story.

What makes "Immortal Hulk" a better change in genre than "JMS Spider-Man"?
