    The ride opened at Six Flags in 2003 (Great Adventure; it initially opened at Over Georgia in 2002.) Were they using that Dark Age Brainiac well into the early 2000s?! Why couldn't they use the classic design or the STAS design?

    That's my favorite Brainiac, who adopted that design in the Brainiac trilogy. For some reason it always comes up that people get confused and call him Milton Fine.

    Design wise I can understand if they used him in 1996 since that look quickly identifies him as a Superman villain (with pants, of course) and the admittedly cool STAS design was probably a few months away.
