I never cared that DCAU Supes was on the weaker side. I cared more about how the show started the trend of “ooooh is Superman going to snap today”, and how much of an idiot Supes was, getting constantly showed up by Batman.

My sole beef with it was Tharok. He's never been* the dim-bulb-gadget-box they gave us here.

*at least, not since the accident that cyborged him.

the film did feel like it was going through motions at times ticking all the expected boxes along the way like Batman acting high and mighty wonder woman aggressively dealing with issues Superman showcasing his power but ultimately being taken down due to specific vulnerabilities etc. all in all it was a pleasant watch though nothing too spectacular but it did try to draw attention to mental illnesses in a more positive manner than HIC ever did which is praiseworthy.

Is it worth a rent? Haven't watched it yet. I was thinking about renting it(not buying it) through my Xbox One tonight and watching it.

Honestly you’d be better off just paying for a month of DCU. Then you can watch JLvFF and all the other DC movies and TV shows on your Xbox One.

I'm waiting until YJ to come back on to start my subscription up again.
