Not a bad cast. Now just show me Ed and Ein. Ed is going to be hard to cast and get right.

I'm guessing Hassel might be Vicious.

That's who the article says he's playing.

I'm curious. I've never seen the anime or read the manga. Is the character Korean American?

Feels fitting to make Spike Asian as a nod to the series' roots, and Jet black given his English dub VA was also black.

I'm trying to remember, but wasn't Faye the only person in Bebop who was supposed to be Asian?

Milley Bobby Brown would probably be a good Ed, but she's kind of busy with another Netflix show....

It is kinda vague really. All the main cast look like they could be asian or white or a mix of them. Ed is really the only one with a darker complextion.

You should watch Bebop though. Even after all these years the anime still holds up very very well.

Horrible casting. It's going to be another Death Note.

Great cast right there, Cho as Spike is solid casting.

Ethnicity in Cowboy Bebop is delightfully vague and ambiguous. Very few explicit statements are made on it. Faye could be implied to be East Asian, but part of the mystery to her character lies in her true origins, and I don't want to spoil that for folks who haven't seen the series.

She apparently was offered the role. No news if she turned it down or what.

I don't think this adaptation is a good idea... but that's a fantastic cast.

    Only seen the anime.

It's consistently referred to as one of the greatest anime series of all time. The soundtrack is divinely inspired & captures the mood of the series perfectly. I don't know how much perfection you can ask for in a series.
