10 years have passed between Iron Man 1 & IW.

It’s currently unclear how much time will pass between IW’s end and where the main plot of Endgame picks up.

Marvel has yet to give a definitive answer, claiming spoilers, but promised them after Endgame, it would be made clear. Titan's book is the only official canon outside the movies.

Arsenal has the correct answer so far.

Can't wait to find out more in about week!

The Russo’s are already (no so) low key confirming the chronological order on Twitter. Only thing left is sorting out what year each takes place.

The Endgame timeline and aftermath is the only real mystery, as it should be.

They're confirming the same film order made in the Marvel Titan book. So far.

Also, Marvel rarely pushes chronology of events and I find it interesting that across the board ... they are suddenly pushing a set film order.

Methinks the timeline is going to get changed in Endgame ...

Favorite Moment: The miniature train battle.

Notable Events That Happened Around The Movie: Vigilantism returns when Hell's Kitchen becomes an epicenter as Matt Murdock returns as Daredevil to take on the growing criminal empire of the “Kingpin” Wilson Fisk, the Hand begins to come out of the shadows, superhumans Jessica Jones & Luke Cage were confronted by the threat of the mind-controlling Kilgrave as Jessica snapped Kilgrave's neck, public opinion divided over whether or not her account was accurate, and how she should be handled by the Justice System.

Fun Film Fact: Posters for "Pingo Doce," the Brazilian soda company Bruce Banner worked for in The Incredible Hulk, can be seen in the San Francisco scenes.

    DAY FIFTEEN

    2016: Captain America: Civil War

Summary: Political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage when attempting to take down Crossbones. The new status quo deeply divides members of the team. Captain America believes superheroes should remain free to defend humanity without government interference. Iron Man sharply disagrees and supports government oversight. As the debate escalates into an all-out feud, all the heroes must pick a side when King T’Chaka is assassinated during a bombing allegedly committed by the Winter Solider. With the machinations of Zemo in play, Iron Man, Black Panther, Black Widow, War Machine, Vision & the newcomer Spider-Man face off against Captain America, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Falcon, & the Scarlet Witch protecting a framed Winter Solider.

Favorite Moment: Seeing the “SOMEBODY’S GONNA GET IT” Hawkeye & Ant-Man team-up from Avengers #223, where Ant-Man rides the arrow, on screen.

Notable Events That Happened Around The Movie: Public reaction to the emergence of new Inhumans led the US Government to form the Advanced Threat Containment Unit (ATCU) which was under the control of HYDRA to collect Inhumans for study & control, HYDRA successfully brings Hive back to Earth, a revived SHIELD with a team led by Coulson, was able to take HYDRA down once & for all, and Hive launched his own insane plan to convert all of humanity into Alpha Primitives, a mutated form of being he could control but SHIELD was able to stop him.

Fun Film Fact: The film coincided with Captain America’s 75th Anniversary, Black Panther’s 50th Anniversary, and Civil War’s 10th Anniversary.

    DAY SIXTEEN

    2016: Spider-Man: Homecoming

Summary: Running on his emotional high after teaming with the Avengers in Germany, Peter Parker returns home to life with his Aunt May and friends in New York. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine but is distracted by the thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Peter must soon put his powers and new suit to the test when the evil Vulture and his goons emerge. Peter extends himself too far, causing him to have to give back his new suit to Stark. As the Vulture threatens all he holds dear, Peter must prove to himself that he is more than just a kid in a suit and stop the Vulture from getting his hands on some of the most powerful tech in the world.

Favorite Moment: Spidey swinging after the bad guys only to run into his one, true nemesis: a huge golf course with nothing to swing from.

Notable Events That Happened Around The Movie: Frank Castle launches a campaign against the criminal gangs responsible for the deaths of his family, gaining the nickname, "the Punisher," Daredevil is forced to confront the Hand, entering into an uneasy alliance with his old mentor Stick & his old love Elektra, ex-con Luke Cage becomes a public superhero who defends Harlem against street crime, Danny Rand returns to take back control of Rand Industries & battles against the Hand as the newest Iron Fist, the Hand's plans escalate with their leaders seeking access to the dragon bones buried beneath New York so they could have continued immortality at the cost of the entire city, which would be destroyed in a release of energy, so Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones work together to stop the Hand, but Daredevil is thought to be killed after the final victory, and the Punisher once again begins brutal vigilante activity against criminals in New York, where he is falsely blamed for a major terrorist attack, but ends up clearing his name while stopping the mercenary who soon becomes Jigsaw.

Fun Film Fact: The movie is full of John Hughes homages. Jennifer Conley was cast to voice Spider-Man’s AI Karen, Peter ran through the neighborhood in style similar to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and Aunt May was patterned after Iona from Pretty In Pink. These are just 3 of the 15 homages Director Jon Watts placed in the film.

    DAY SEVENTEEN

    2016: Black Panther

Summary: After the death of his father, T'Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When the powerful enemy Erik Killmonger reappears, T'Challa's mettle as king and Black Panther gets tested when he's drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Killmonger intends to take the throne, send powerful weapons all over the world to incite rebellions, and end the legacy of the Black Panther forever. Faced with the certain death of her son T’Challa, Queen Ramonda must attempt an unprecedented alliance with his greatest political rival and leader of the reclusive Jabari mountain tribe, M’Baku. All out civil war breaks out as T’Challa must release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people.

Favorite Moment: Nakia, Okoye, and Shuri teaming up to take down Killmonger.

Notable Events That Happened Around The Movie: For SHIELD, the passing of the Sokovia Accords began a six-month process to legitimize themselves once again, their Inhuman assets were registered, SHIELD bases became known to the US military, Coulson stepped aside as Director, SHIELD became involved in a complex scenario involving the Ghost Rider, anti-Inhuman pressure groups, & a rogue android, they were blamed for an assassination attempt on General Talbot, officially declared outlaws but only Leopold Fitz was actually arrested while the rest were captured by the Chronicom Enoch, to be transported to a dystopian future, a successful prison break meant at the Raft meant it was no longer a secret, so it became a public tool to keep "enhanced" individuals in check, and when Jessica Jones's mother revealed herself, alive & well but mentally disturbed, Jessica feared she'd be sent to the Raft, but in the end, Alisa Jones was shot by Jessica's adopted sister, Trish Walker.

Fun Film Fact: When Killmonger broke the spear he was holding to make it a hand held weapon before he started his challenge with T'Challa it was a nod to the African warrior Shaka Zulu, one of the biggest military leaders in history. He couldn't understand why the Zulus would throw away their spears in battle so he developed a short stabbing spear.

Favorite Moment: How Dr. Strange ultimately defeats Dormammu.

Notable Events That Happened Around The Movie: The power vacuum left by the collapse of the Hand causes problems in New York, as rival criminal gangs attempted to extend their control, in Harlem, the police viewed Luke Cage as something of a "necessary evil" in order to keep crime under check because the arrival of Bushmaster forced Cage to step up, & he actually took control of a criminal empire in Harlem in a desperate attempt to protect his area, Chinatown, meanwhile, was initially looked after by Danny Rand, but he struggled to prevent a Triad War as Davos led Rand to pass on the Iron Fist to Colleen Wing, who took over peacekeeping in Chinatown, Wilson Fisk had been biding his time from jail, & had successfully corrupted the FBI to get himself out of jail, & had disgraced FBI agent Dex “Bullseye” Poindexter suit up as a Daredevil impersonator to cut a bloody swathe through New York, but Fisk's plans were exposed by the real Daredevil, with the help of Foggy Nelson & Karen Page, and Bullseye was left with his back broken, while Fisk returned to jail.

Fun Film Fact: One of the mages at Kamar-Taj is Tina Minoru, the mother of Nico Minoru, a member of the teenage hero team the Runaways. She is shown wielding the Staff of One. Nico later reclaims the staff from her evil mother during the events of the Runaways TV show on Hulu.

This moment is, in my opinion, the most clever and satisfying way that any MCU hero has defeated the villain to date. It really sets Dr. Strange apart as something unique.

    Mine too.

The Dance Off To Save The Universe is #2 for me in terms of creative ends. Strange gets the #1 spot, IMHO.

    DAY NINETEEN

    2017: Thor: Ragnarok

Summary: Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk, his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor's quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization. With the help of the Hulk, a Valkyrie, and his estranged brother Loki, Thor must make a decision that changes the fate of his people forever.

Favorite Moment: Thor and Hulk bonding over their feelings and how they (don’t) handle them.

Notable Events That Happened Around The Movie: An uprising on Attilan led the Inhuman Royal Family to ultimately destroy their home, so the Inhumans of the Moon traveled to Earth, seeking to forge a new society here, in Los Angeles, the Pride's plans fall apart when their children begin to discover the truth, so the children become the superhero group the Runaways, in New Orleans, Roxxon's attempts to tap into new energy sources almost cause a disaster, the crisis was averted by two teenagers, Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson, who had been empowered as the "Divine Pairing," Cloak & Dagger.

Fun Film Fact: Thor's "friend from work" line about the Hulk was suggested to Chris Hemsworth by a Make-A-Wish child who paid a visit to the set on the day the scene was filmed.

After two live action attempts by DC, Killmonger's "Is this your King?" is still the best "Bane" moment we've ever gotten in a film. It's not just superficial badassery, it's a genuinely powerful scene.

There are so many moments in Black Panther that compete for my favorite: the aforementioned scene where Killmonger challenges T'Challa for the throne, Killmonger's conversation with his father in the spirit-world (if you're not devastated, you have no soul), Black Panther's return (no idea where he got the ship he crashed, but it's such a great entrance I don't even care), and the final scene with the kids on the basketball court. (Love the parallel between the kid who sees Black Panther's ship approaching in the final scene with Eric seeing T'Chaka's ship depart in the opening sequence, bringing things full circle).

I saw this more times in the theater than any other MCU film.

    DAY TWENTY

    2018: Ant-Man & the Wasp

Summary: Scott Lang is struggling with the consequences of his choices as both superhero and father. Approached by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym because he was having visions from the Quantum Realm, Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit to fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as they find themself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy, Ghost. In constant pain and able to phase through anything, Hank, Hope, and Scott see out help from an estranged colleague to stop Ghost as well as make a last-ditch effort to save Hank’s wife and Hope’s mom, Janet van Dyne, the original Wasp, stuck in the Quantum Realm.

Favorite Moment: The malfunctioning Ant-Man 2.0 suit in the school.

Notable Events That Happened Around The Movie: Coulson and his SHIELD team returned from the dystopian future, one in which the world had been snapped in half (foreshadow pun!) & resolved to save the planet, they soon uncovered the last HYDRA conspiracy, headed up by General Hale, who was seeking to create a super-soldier to protect the world from the threat of Thanos, and General Talbot was ultimately transformed into Graviton, a powerful being able to manipulate gravity.

Fun Film Fact: Don’t be too impressed with the de-aging scene because Langston Fishburne, Laurence Fishburne's son, played the younger version of his character, Dr. Bill Foster.
