Proteus can jump from mutant to mutant. Powers of X seems to have mutants with several powers (Powers of TEN). Moira is the mother of Proteus.

Good point, if that new character is indeed intended to be the daughter of/descendant of Kitty and Peter with both of their power sets. Of course, powers have not really been shown to be inherited like that in existing continuity.

On a related but tangential point, it was never really clear how Moira knew about Kevin's body-hopping ability, considering he seemed to be in his original body during the escape from Muir Island and that appeared to be the first time he'd ever used it.

The Emphasis on Moira is a interesting aspect to this.

In the pictures of this thread, she's rather expressionless and looks like a puppet.
The author used her like a doll changing her clothes and her make-up…
It's hard to see her as a player.

these characters look more like many xmen combined into one character mecha style, than new characters. similar to rogue when she gets the powers of 30 people and becomes unstoppable.

The woman with the brain window is most certainly the "Moira" woman we see based on the color scheme and Hickman telling us that when mutants where human clothes they pick the same color combinations as their mutant clothes.

sorry for being a party pooper but I have this strong feeling:
Moira was an omega level mutant all along, that is why she gave birth to Proteus, she never died, Xavier always knew and remained in contact with her

I was thinking something similar. But moreso Xavier knew she was a mutant and a powerful and couldn't control her powers, so he Matthew Mallory'ed her, aka made her forget she had powers or could access them.

Could be. Maybe he couldn't do it with Proteus because he was even more powerful or something in that sense.

It certainly seemed an odd coincidence that both Moira and Xavier had children who were obscenely powerful and who went mad in part because of that.
