Destiny, Shaw, and Pyro are dead.

Legion, specifically his Jack Wayne personality IIRC, killed Destiny in Uncanny X-Men vol. 1 #255.

Emma killed Shaw in X-Men Black: Emma Frost. But, Shaw's come back from the dead before.

Pyro died of the Legacy Virus during the "Dream's End" crossover circa 2001. That's the same crossover in which Moira was killed by Mystique. Who claimed she was taking action based on Destiny's prophecies. Hmmm...

Moira is the big boss in the event? Krakoa can absorb mutant energies; so, the 10 gave their powers to it(IMO). Now, I think krakoa had absorbed the 10 powers of dead mutants like Gateway for example. Maybe a experiment of Moira on Krakoa? Definitively, it's related to Deadly Genesis arc in someway(we saw Vulcan on the 1st cover). The 2 new characters are mutants experiments of Mr Sinister. For me, they are on the Moon. The event takes consideration of what happened in Uncanny X-Men 22 & AoXMan. Power of X takes place in a near future and it seems the prologue of the new X-titles for me(so no time travel). Is really Rachel becomes Dark Phoenix where did you get this info, please?

In the Preview issue for House of X and Powers of X that came out today. There was a two page spread of that Mark Brooks cover/poster that sent people into a frenzy a couple months back. But this time the characters were all grayed with a number on them. Here is the full list with the language used in the issue. It clearly identifies character 12 as "Dark Phoenix" and then identifies her as "Rachel Summers". Whether its a typo or an Easter Egg I don't know.

He went back to being dead alongside everyone else save Doug Ramsey. I believe he was seen back in Iceman's series with no actual explanation

It's questionable. It seems the under-info is naming the characters & first appearances. But Monet, unlike most (if not all the others) has been retconned heavily.

She first appeared in Uncanny 316, the Phalanx Covenant story. But that was revealed to be twins merged to form a more powerful girl.

Then I heard a rumor that Lobdell never meant for there to be a "real Monet", just the twins and their brother, Emplate. But in the first appearance, a woman talking to Monet & mentions twins & a brother.....

So how were they coming up with 4 kids upon the character's intro. if Lobdell only meant for it to be 3.

In any case, real Monet was retconned to be inside of Penance, making the first canon appearance of Penance Monet. lol Hence why she's called Penance here, because it's where / what she was retconned to be 30+ issues into GenX.

It's entirely possible. The caption should have then read 'Rachel Summers' ('90s Excalibur). Again it's likely another error.
