What if Marvel take seriously that stupid "X-men is a sexist name" discussion and never use it again?

It would makes sense with Rosenberg writing the last X-men story and Hickman not calling "X-men" none of his new material.

I'm gonna make a mistake and say something on this. Marvel isn't going to change the name, but they'd do well in rebranding via emphasis on interpretation of it. Emphasizing the "Men" part functions in the same manner as "the race of Men" from LOTR, more akin to a mutant version of the term human race.

Maybe Rosenberg's plan was to write such an awful, grimdark story with unsympathetic idiots as heroes and villains in order to drive the brand value of the X-Men down the gutter and make criticisms of Hickman's run seem minute in comparison?

Okay, I'll take my tinfoil hat off.

I mean, I don't know if that's what happened here, but it's a valid theory IMO. Marvel has a history of trying to obscure truth and fudge facts to justify actions they take and look better than they are. Just look at all the scheming and BS excuses they went through to screw the X-Men franchise over before the buyout.

No. They say the first wave of books will be called Dawn of X, which implies there will be at least a second wave of books. I cant see the first wave being 10 books. Maybe 5-6 at the most
