But only for household names or characters that people working at Marvel are fans of. Everyone else won't sell enough even if they'd sell just as much or better than the pet characters they're willing to give solos.

Interesting in that he sees the last 13-15 years of X-Men as stemming from HoM/Decimation and Hickman/PoX/HoX will begin a new era. More interesting in that Marvel didn't put HoM as one of the seminal x-moments.

Yeah, I believe there are actually two more seminal moments than what Marvel said: House of M and Bendis’ run. Probably didn’t wanna talk about Bendis’ run without him though.

Kinda, but not really. Morrison exploded the mutant population geometrically in his run. Before, if there were several thousand mutants all around the world, that would have been pushing it. He made it so that there were what, 32 million? And so even when he killed half of them on Genosha, that was still orders of magnitude more mutants than ever before. Decimation starts with "No More Mutants", when Wanda's words negated the vast majority of mutants on earth(something like 99%), leaving only a few hundred.
