To be fair they did just come back from the brink of extinction like 3 times in the past two years? At least I think so according to Orchis's observation began 2 years ago and the spike in the Xgene happened a year prior which I'm assuming is when the xgene was restarted.

What, so that justifies living in a pod-utopia? There is something else going on. Something so big that they are prepared to bluff themselves into being a superpower. That’s a very dangerous game.

I think it's Emma through the years.

I love the cover, but my favorite looks are the Generation X uniform 2nd from the left, and the White Queen 2nd from the right, and Black King variant at the top.

I wonder how much into the future this is taking place. These characters could be the X-men kids or long distant descendants (if they are related)

I have a theory about “Powers Of X.” Hickman said it’s the history of mutants & it and “House Of X” will crash together. I think issue #1 will be set 50 years in the future, issue #2, 40 years, issue #3, 30 years, issue #4, 20 years, issue #5 10 years in the future and issue #6 will be set in the present-crashing into “House Of X” issue #6.
Powers of X will be 10 year jumps in the history of mutants, just told backwards.

Yes I would say multiple genocidal efforts by humans is perfect justification for this. Not much of a bluff when they can actually back up what they say I mean they have multiple Omega level mutants affiliated with Krakoa some of which are better than the most destructive nuke.
