People who voted 12 are cops
hickman probably whipped those x-tweet folx into shape the last two times he did a poll.
Personally 18 seems like the best option for me.
Eighteen would be best, but he swore to stick to twelve a year after Avengers. That book nearly killed him and X-Men’s scope is so much bigger.
18 is the best. 12 is too slow. Also team is huge.
I voted 12+stuff
"getting more story" is a gross fallacy they implemented just to sell more books.
18 books is usually a method for writers to drag out a story for more issues than it's actually worth...doubling down on the filler. eg...every recent X-Book that was double-shipped.
Plus...really good artists today can't keep up with that schedule...thus...bring in the inconsistent and sometimes atrocious fill-in artists.
No.
I would rather have less books with better written and more consistent content.
Avengers was 24 issues a year, plus have New Avengers with more 12, plus Infinity in the mean time. This probably will be 18 issues.
I also say like I said in another thread: the same people saying you should only have 12 issues will complain the story is moving too slowly if that happens while complaining their favorites aren't appearing in the gigantic cast like it was promised.
I hope not. We are getting at least 6 team ongoings. The only one that I feel needs to be at least 18 issues is X-men and thats bc it has a rotating roster. 18 for all, not to mention the wave 2 books which may or may not have team titles, is overkill.
As far as feeling too slow, IA with you as Astonishing X-men and Red felt painfully slow as Blue and Gold were coming out, but that was a problem with the writers, whom had terrible pacing issues. A single story should not take 11-12 issues to tell. If the new writers are better with pacing, then it can and should work
