“And I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.” ― Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
I agree the pod people appear to be Scott / Jean, but I think we are conflating.
Dead mutants appear to be back. But why would Xavier resurrect Cypher infected with transmode virus?
Why would he resurrect characters like Scott/Jean who aren’t / weren’t dead?
All that’s to say — not sure what those pods are. Maybe some sort of healing thing?
Then again, Jean was fine. Only Scott was missing an eye.
So bizarre.

A couple of things that came to mind there...
The hair was very "Vulcan..."
As for the eye, you're talking like Cyclops is the only one who has lost an eye. Vulcan lost an eye to Gladiator.
While it obviously could be Cyclops, I feel like they might have left it a little vague intentionally.
At the moment Hickman has surprised me, but a part to me is also afraid of what could happen.
Why wouldn’t Scott just get a transplant from eye boy?
