    Default What is your favorite Season of the year? Why?

    Is it Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter?

    I probably prefer the Fall (it's getting colder, Halloween, Thanksgiving. It's fun and the colors of the trees so pretty with all the different shades), but Winter can be very cozy and family oriented too. I love the rain. However, I'm enjoying this Spring very much, more than usual.

    Spring.

    The moment I have to get away from my family/house to go riding, smoke a cigar & engage other hobbies is always good.

    Spring.

    After a long, harsh, COLD and snowy winter, the arrival of spring with warm weather (and baseball) is a welcome thing.

    Late Summer to early Autumn. August, and September are basically the only months that I'm guaranteed to not have to deal with snow.
    Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.

    Oof..Hard one for me as there's reasons why I like all seasons. If I had to pick one I'd say Winter since I like the Christmas period, for the atmosphere not for the hassle that comes with it LOL.

    The only season I really don't care for is summer. Too hot and humid and our electric bill is always super high because of the air conditioning. I like elements of Fall and winter such as football, spooky things, my favorite seasonal beers and apples being in season. But I'm really into spring these days. There's just something rewarding about opening windows after a long winter that makes me content.

    I'm currently studying to be a high school teacher, so I'm sure summer will become a welcome thing.

    Autumn (Fall) is my favourite season. The weather can still be warm during September and October and there is still decent daylight until the clocks go back at the end of Oct.
    I love to see the trees change colour and the light is softer.

    The Fall season (Autumn) has become a recent favorite of mine; for it signifies the end of summer and the coming of winter.

    Fall/Autumn. I hate heat/humidity, so that's when I get relief from the Jersey summer. Plus, it's the start of the "parade of holidays", Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year.

    There's not really a good option in the poll. In New Orleans, I'd say April is the best season (its Spring, but it doesn't last long). By the end of April, the Summer is upon us, and we're up around 90F. May thru October are pretty miserable to me.

    Until about 10 years ago, I liked the colder weather months, but I had a health crisis, and ever since, I cannot tolerate temperatures below 60F very well.

    I'd have to go with winter since near the Texas Gulf Coast the temperatures are considerably more tolerable than any other season (spring through fall it can get into the 90s F), I still like Autumn too because I love Halloween and the shortening daylight hours. I absolutely loathe summer, too hot, too humid, mosquitoes and the threat of hurricanes all converge to make it the crappiest season imaginable.

    Autumn. Definitely. By a mile actually.

    Reasons? I like it when the nights draw in. I like it when the trees shed their leaves and you get a cold nip in the air. The football/soccer season has really started to kick into gear by this stage of the year and there's games on the telly most evenings. It's my birthday in October. Here in the UK we have Bonfire Night which I generally enjoy. I like it when my local pub gets the coal fire roaring in the snug. To quote Keats:

    Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
    Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun
    Conspiring with him how to load and bless
    With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
    To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
    And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
    To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
    With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
    And still more, later flowers for the bees,
    Until they think warm days will never cease,
    For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells.

    Who hath not seen thee oft amid thy store?
    Sometimes whoever seeks abroad may find
    Thee sitting careless on a granary floor,
    Thy hair soft-lifted by the winnowing wind;
    Or on a half-reap'd furrow sound asleep,
    Drows'd with the fume of poppies, while thy hook
    Spares the next swath and all its twined flowers:
    And sometimes like a gleaner thou dost keep
    Steady thy laden head across a brook;
    Or by a cider-press, with patient look,
    Thou watchest the last oozings hours by hours.

    Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
    Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,–
    While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day,
    And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;
    Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn
    Among the river sallows, borne aloft
    Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;
    And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;
    Hedge-crickets sing; and now with treble soft
    The red-breast whistles from a garden-croft;
    And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.
