I hope there's something more unique added to the spy concept. Like maybe it's a spy story with an intergalactic setting instead of the usual earth. It would suit Sue's experience more and earth based spies are decently represented with Natasha, Jessica, and Bobbi. Running spy missions on an intergalactic level would be really cool and different.
Like what if her old partner turned out to be a Skrull because of the usefulness of their shape-shifting in that field of work. There is a lot you can do with the concept if you expand it beyond the confines of earth.

Fresh from the pages of FANTASTIC FOUR, for the first time Susan Storm-Richards stars in her own limited series – and the secrets about her past revealed therein will shake readers’ perceptions of the Invisible Woman forevermore! Years ago, she undertook an espionage mission for S.H.I.E.L.D. –
and now it’s up to her to save her former partner from death at the hands of international terrorists!
32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
Based on the solicit it seems like she may have only done one mission for SHIELD and she will be up against terrorists.

I'm hoping for that as well. If not extraterrestrial, extradimensional. Maybe a spy story involving the Negative Zone, the Microverse, Neutral Zone, the Dark Dimension, or countless other places that sees Earth as a threat/rival? It seems like there's always someone trying to infiltrate Earth.

I'd like to see a Sue solo where she deals with her powers in other dimensions and they don't quite work as they usually do. A story where she has to be the brain figuring it out, as well as the fiery personality, and the never give up warrior.
Maybe getting one over on her kids on the last page as well.
An interview with Mark Waid. The Invisible Woman stuff starts at around the 14:30 mark:
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...=1000437038099
There seems to be sound quality issues throughout the podcast.
(I don't have a clue why someone starts practicing guitar in the background)
Anyway, from the little we got in that interview:
- It starts with a flashback to her earlier missions where she meets her partner
- Sue's missing partner will be male (and it's not going to be romantic, just a male friend)
- He gives her a cute nickname
- She'll interact with other classic Marvel spies
- She will travel the world
- No Namor (thank God)
- Classic Spy and espionage stuff

I'm kind of worried.
I trust Waid and I checked out Mattia De Iulis' art and it's really great.
What I'm worried about is Marvel not promoting the book. I want the book to get the best chance it can possibly have and Marvel has a bad habit of not promoting some of their books if they're not an already popular character or taking the mantle of a popular character.

Here is look at De Iluis' art of Sue in the upcoming book!
