I wanted to know other people’s opinions about who do they consider obscure fan-favorite characters and what storyline or comic book moment makes them think that that character can be a basis of a great movie?

We now all desperately want to see a Joaquin Phoenix Gibbon movie.
I don't blind date I make the direct market vibrate
J. Jonah Jameson the Movie! You will believe a curmudgeon can run a paper.
The Goblin Family Reunion! Like Madea, but with explosions!
Uncle Ben's the Five Superheroes you meet in Heaven.
I was a Teenage Kraven the Hunter!
And I'm out of jokes.
There are a handful of villains who could support a movie as a bad guy. Imagine the Vulture in a world where no one else has super-powers.
Sincerely,
Thomas Mets
Any of the Spider-Girls.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
I've never been a huge fan of the character, but I think a Cardiac movie could be interesting. I'd like to see how his costume translates to the big screen too.
If done properly, I think a Green Goblin solo movie could be worthwhile too.
I thought about the John Jameson/Captain Jupiter story arc from Spectacular Spiderman retooled as a solo film.
Tvtropes had a WMG with Mary Jane as Jackpot but that could be a jump the shark moment.
They should do a Spider-Gwen movie.
I think they already said they are going to make a spider-women film with Gwen being the main character
I feel like Vulture 2099 would have a lot of potential for a movie. There is a lot to the character, he's kind of the outcast overlord. Instead of just being a villain with sinister motives, he really just embraces what he is and his surroundings.
Doc Ock could work as Spiderman meets Breaking Bad, especially since Dan Slott's run did more to make him more sympathethic. You could take a page out of Superior Octopus and start him out as a more sympathethic character legitamately wanting to be a supperhero but going off the rails.
