Well, since most of us (at least the responders) are from North America I thought I'd break it down further. Again, this is where you currently live.

You might have created another controversy by not specifying anything regarding Puerto Rico . . . it may be a territory under the U.S., but it's not an actual state, either.

PR is a US territory. It is in the top 15 in population though so would've made this list otherwise.

I was thinking more of something like a listing of

United States (including Puerto Rico, Guam, and other territories)

just to cover everything.

Possibly, but state or not, Puerto Rico is a part of the United States (the opinion of President Trump notwithstanding), so I would think the poll listing is fine.

You should go and read the first part of this thread series (https://community.cbr.com/showthread...You-From-POLL!) to see how much controversy there was about what is and isn't a continent, based on different teachings/beliefs in other areas of the world and, sometimes, based on lack of knowledge/ignorance.

I merely suggested specifying Puerto Rico as part of the U.S. to cover all bases (and to make sure anyone from there didn't feel left out, especially after the way certain politicians seem to treat Puerto Rico these days).
