That's made me curious. Do the Duck Dynasty guys sell any snark-calls like their duck-calls?

Once again for the people in the back: if you want to get rid of Antifa, all you have to do is get rid of the Nazis.
Ugh, that guy. I don't like that that guy has launched himself into the mainstream. He's the biggest pusher of "violent left" narratives, and everything he says is a lie. I mean, just a while ago we were questioned about dismissing violence at antifa protests, and I wonder if a lot of the reason you get that reaction is Andy Ngo.

There's even something for the wine drinkers out there too.

He certainly helps push the narrative, yes, with his fabrications and lies. He's hardly alone. Pushing the violent left to distract from the actual threat of violent white nationalism is all they have and a lot of people buy it. Part of fascisms is, after all, criminalizing opposition to fascism. That's the end goal. That's why all the pushing of the narrative and talk of declaring 'antifa' a 'domestic terorrist' organization while ignoring white supremacists engaging in regular bouts of mass violence.

Trumpís company could save millions if interest rates fall as he demands

President Trump stands to save millions of dollars annually in interest on outstanding loans on his hotels and resorts if the Federal Reserve lowers rates as he has been demanding, according to public filings and financial experts.

In the five years before he became president, Trump borrowed more than $360 million via four loans from Deutsche Bank for his hotels in Washington, D.C., and Chicago, as well his 643-room Doral golf resort in South Florida.

The payments on all four properties vary with interest rate changes, according to Trumpís official financial disclosures. That means he has already benefited from falling interest rates that were spurred in part by a cut the Federal Reserve announced in July, the first in more than a decade ó and his payments could drop by millions of dollars more annually if the central bank grants Trumpís wish and further lowers short-term rates, experts said.
ďIt will reduce his borrowing costs quite a bit if he gets what he wants,Ē said Phillip Braun, a finance professor at Northwestern Universityís Kellogg School of Management. Braun said Trumpís savings could be even greater if Deutsche Bank permits his company to pay down the loans more quickly without a penalty, which banks sometimes allow.

In 2014, 2015, as well as 2016, "Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day" published profiles of Kyle Tasker, a particularly young and brash member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives whose chief hobby seemed to be challenging the concept of political correctness on social media (or so we thought). In our first look at Tasker, we talked about how Tasker made natioal headlines when in the middle of a committee meeting in the state legislature, he dropped his personal firearm, sending it clattering to the floor. He later blamed his carelessness on having donated blood. Tasker, by this point infamous, spent time on Facebook making jokes about victims of domestic abuse (“Battered women? I like mine plain”), and asking the New Hampshire Black Caucus if he could join because he was “fond of rap music”. Just for a few examples, that is. We noted how Tasker's heart seemed to not be in the whole politician business, citing how he missed about one third of all votes in the legislature, and that may have had something to do with the side career he had going. And that career was apparently as a drug dealer. In March of 2016, Tasker was arrested by police after trying to lure a 14 year old girl to his house for sex, and when they searched his house while he was in jail, they found not just a weapons cache, but a large stash of drugs. New Hampshire Republicans had a budding sexual predator and narcotics dealer on the House Committee on Children and Family Law. Splendid. Tasker is now serving a 3-10 year sentence for his crimes, and when he gets out, he’ll be on a sex offender list.

It was in both 2017, as well as 2018, that “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day” had its first profile of the U.S. House Representative from New York’s 22nd Congressional District, Claudia Tenney, currently serving in he freshman term in Congress after serving three terms in the New York State Assembly from 2011 through 2017. It’s somewhat of a miracle that Tenney’s career has lasted as long as it has, or that she has elevated herself to Congress, considering back in October of 2013, she went to a press conference where members of the Oneida Native Americans and while a representative of the tribe, Ray Halbritter was speaking about negotiations with the NFL to change the name of their Washington franchise, when Tenney stood up on a chair screaming that “he wasn’t actually an Indian” before threatening to sue Halbritter on behalf of a member of the Oneida Nation who said Halbritter was “stealing his land. She was eventually escorted out after a bizarre spectacle. To this day, she has no apologies, and still smears Halbritter, calling him “Spray-Tan Ray, indicating she thinks his pigmentation is enhanced (which is f***ing AMAZINGLY RACIST).

And yet, her career has continued. Which probably has a lot to do with the fact that the Fox News Family often gave her a platform on their networks when possible, including this delightful appearance on Fox Business when she argues against the minimum wage. Her voting record as a state legislator shows not just her willingness to vote against the minimum wage, but she voted against Equal Pay for women, early voting, and conveniently is absent every time a vote comes up to ban gay conversion therapy.

Tenney failed to unseat tenured Congressman Richard Hanna for his seat in 2014, but when he announced his retirement in 2016 she gave it another shot. She won with only 45% of the vote, in spite of polls having her listed by far as the most disliked candidate, because the vote was split between Democrat Kim Myers and Martin Babinec, who thought he would be helping by going “third party” and creating the Upstate Workers Party. Well, thanks a f***ing lot, Martin, because you only helped a racist get elected to Congress. Tenney, as you might expect from someone who would show up to a press conference and get on a chair to claim someone was faking their race is highly contentious on the campaign trail, as she also claimed Kim Myers, who worked for her family’s Dick’s Sporting Goods before starting her own business was “more of a housewife.

Tenney's one term in Congress saw her to vote for bills to allow veterans deemed mentally incompetent to continue to own firearms, and not have them taken away without a judge's written order, to allow internet providers to sell the data information of their customers' internet usage to businesses, to repeal Dodd-Frank Wall Street reform, the GOP Tax Plan/Scam, and to vote for the House GOP's healthcare plan, that would kick roughly 24 million people off their health insurance plans, allow up to 28,000 more people to die a year, give $50,000 in tax breaks to millionaires, and would eliminate coverage for pre-existing conditions which would include such medical conditions as pregnancy (current or past), post-partum depression, or prior sexual assault.

Tenney quickly drew massive amounts of criticism from her constituents (only 45% of whom voted for her), has tried avoiding confrontations with them by hosting “telephone town halls” where her aides can screen calls, and actually tried defending her vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act by saying the law was “denying people the right to have an existence, to work and to have a chance.”

By February of 2018, when she had three gaffes over the span of three weeks. Her first was on February 6th, when she claimed that it was “Un-American” that Democrats didn’t rise and give a standing ovation to Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address, and proof that “they don’t love our country. Then, on February 16th, for whatever reason, Tenney defended the White House or not firing Rob Porter, a staffer who could not pass his background clearance checks because he had abused two separate wives he’d been married to. Tenney claimed that Porter’s repeated spousal abuse did not qualify as “crimes of character. But perhaps Tenney’s dumbest re-write came on February 21st, where she commented on the Parkland shooting and various other mass shootings by outright lying and claiming they were being carried out by Democrats:

(For the record, Nicholas Cruz, the shooter at Parkland was NOT a Democrat, and in fact, had photographs of himself on social media accounts in a “MAGA” hat.)

Tenney’s 2018 challenger was Democratic New York State Assembly member Anthony Brindisi, and damn, did she take a bigoted approach to running against him. Tenney campaigned by attacking Brindisi’s father. For a few years in the late 1970s and 1980s, the elder Brindisi worked as a defense attorney and defended members of New York crime families in court. Now, it should be noted that John Adams once defended the men who perpetuated the Boston Massacre, and that doesn’t state to his character as a Founding Father. We should also note that Brindisi’s father stopped working criminal defense cases in 1983. We also should note that there’s a whole “sins of the father” thing that should be taken into account… but it’s amazing to see Tenney’s first response to be to smear the Italian-American candidate for having suspicious mob ties.

Tenney was swept out of office by the 2018 Blue Wave, losing by about 4500 votes. Rumors are already circulating that she will try to avenge that loss in 2020, but with even higher Democratic voter turnout expected in a presidential year than a mid-term year… we’re hoping she remains a “one and done” member of Congress.

Trump suggests that we nuke hurricanes before they hit the US. No, not an Onion article. Though I wish that it was.

With this and the desire to "buy Greenland," you almost have to wonder if he really has gone insane, or if these are distractions. But if they are distractions, just what are they supposed to distract us from? The coming recession? Russian interference in the next election? Some secret deal we don't even know about yet? I say, let's let Steven Colbert and Bill Maher make jokes about the insane stuff, but CNN should concentrate the stories that are really important.

U.S. Lobster Exports to China Freefalling Amid Trade Dispute

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/us-lob...-trade-dispute

Lobster exports out of Maine are free-falling this year as a result of trade hostilities between the United States and lobster-hungry China, the Associated Press reports. The country, which has become a huge customer for the U.S. lobster industry, issued tariffs on many food products in July 2018, including American lobsters. The higher cost has pushed Chinese customers to look farther north for the coveted crustacean. Now, lobstermen in Canada, who catch the same species of lobster as American suppliers, are profiting off the slack. Canada’s lobster exports neared $200 million through June, while America’s exports through June were valued at less than $19 million—over $70 million less than the previous year. Despite sustained domestic demand, the Chinese tariffs have taken a toll on lobster businesses in Maine, forcing some to lay off workers working in wholesale. “China is so large that you have to look at a number of new markets to replace that business,” said Marianne LaCroix, Executive Director of the Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative.

I was watching a video about the 20 times The Simpsons predicted the Future, including the one involving Trump being President. In that episode, Lisa Simpson becomes President after him. Lisa is a diminutive of Elizabeth.

The only way that Prediction can be any more prescience is if Elizabeth Warren becomes President.

Trump is ruining the dinner tonight with an angry rant that Russia should be let in to the summit.
