Maybe Carlson is the only one of these guys that had time for a candidate that rarely polls over 2%.

I'm not sure exactly what people are so surprised about though. The two sides joined forces earlier in the year to shoot down May's deal even though neither of them had a viable alternative to it, so I don't see why everyone is acting all shocked and appalled now that Boris is moving forward with the no deal Brexit which was the only possible outcome of rejecting every deal that was put on the table.

Lindsey Graham proposing putting Obama under oath to investigate Trump’s Russian conspiracy theory

During an appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show on Wednesday night, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) claimed he has every intention of calling in former President Barack Obama and grilling him on what he knows about the FBI’s investigation of Donald Trump.

Speaking with the Fox News host, the Republican senator claimed he is pushing forward with his investigation into who told President Obama about the counterintelligence investigation into then-candidate Donald Trump.

trying to decide who is worse, Lindsey Graham or Mitch McConnell. it's a dead heat at this point. McConnell has more backbone. but he also looked the other way on russian interference.

Part of me wants to see that happen just to give Obama a chance to say this to a Senate committee.

Depends on what year it is. When you get Graham within 2 years of a Republican primary for his Senate seat, he drops the pretense of being "Moderate" and starts banging war drums, warning about Muslim terrorists killing us all, and sneering at sexual assault survivors.

Mitch McConnell is s***tier during the brief spurts where Graham thinks about running for president, and pretends to be "moderate" by slagging the dumbest members of his own party.

On this date in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, as well as 2018, "Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day" published profiles of the U.S. House Representative from California’s 49th District, Darrell Issa, who remains the wealthiest man in all of Congress. Issa’s past includes being arrested for stealing a car, and investigated for potential arson in an insurance fraud scheme, and after throwing millions of dollars at a couple unsuccessful Congressional campaigns in the late nineties, he finally found his way to Washington, D.C. in the 2000 election. Issa has made a name for himself the past several years as the Chairman of the House Oversight committee, where he set records for the number of subpoenas he issued to people while leading witch hunts whenever a "scandal" broke in the conservative news media. Sadly, in calling hearings over Solyndra, the IRS investigations into 501c4 groups, Wikileaks, and double-digit investigations into Benghazi... in all those Congressional hearings, exactly zero convictions or criminal charges have been filed, and a small fortune in taxpayer dollars have been wasted in his mad quest to root out corruption that doesn't exist. Rep. Issa himself bragged in 2010 that under his watch, the House Oversight Committee would hold hearings "seven hearings a week for 40 weeks". He issued my subpoenas during his tenure than his three predecessors combined. In 2016, he called for the Republican Party to have another government shutdown to protest if Hillary Clinton was not charged with a crime for using a private e-mail server while serving as Secretary of State, because that’s not an unreasonable demand. You'd think with all the s*** the man threw at the wall over a seven-year tenure in that position, he could have managed to find something that would stick, but all it did at best was hurt the poll numbers of whomever he was attacking at the time.

Now, what’s new with Rep. Issa is rather timely. Back on June 28th, 2017, he went to speak before the Federation for American Immigration Reform, aka FAIR, aka an honest-to-not-goodness hate group whose founder likes to talk a lot about the white race being superior because eugenics prove it. And after the Neo-Nazis were marching through Charlottesville and carried out a terror attack, suddenly Issa wanted hearings on white supremacy in Congress. Hey, Darrell? Maybe you should go back through your day planner and invite some of your pals, y’know?

Surviving until 2018 In a California swing district, after nine terms in office, Issa had drawn the ire of his constituents, so much so that he was seen standing on the roof of his office in his home district to avoid them, and went out of his way to plan a “town hall” where he had a special invitation list of people who were conservative, so he wouldn’t have any confrontations with people who actually disagree with them. After record Democratic voter registration, and record Latino voter registration started to be reported throughout most of California, including Darrell Issa’s district, It became official on January 10th, 2018… Darrell retired from office after 9 terms in Congress. He currently is mulling coming out of it to potentially run for Duncan Hunter’s seat, should he wise up and resign, in 2020… but for now, we’ll set aside his profile at this time and go ahead and take a look at a different wacky Republican today instead. (Current crazy/stupid scoreboard, is now 776-40, since this was established in July 2014.)

    Gina Sosa

Welcome to the 776th original “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day” profile, where today we’ll be discussing Gina Sosa, a 2018 candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s 27th District. She finished a quite pathetic 9th of 9 candidates in the primary for the seat with only 1.9% of the vote, and that was before people were fully aware of how awful of opinions she had.

Now, Sosa is a die-hard supporter of the Trump administration, which is remarkable given that she is both a Cuban immigrant, as well as a Log Cabin Republican. So there’s a bit of a disconnect about how the Trump regime treats the LGBTQ community, and immigrants of color for her in reality. Hell, she supported Trump’s border wall on the U.S./Mexico border.

But no, it was AFTER the primary but prior to the general election that Gina Sosa really made headlines. She was on a CNN panel where several Republican women were asked to comment on the testimony of Christine Blasey-Ford regarding Brett Kavanaugh, and her credible accusations that he sexually assaulted her as a teenager at boarding school. Sosa’s awful take to hearing tales of Kavanaugh drunkenly luring Ford into a room and trying to force himself on her was:

Sosa was hammered by critics on Twitter, and then turned around to try to claim her remarks were taken “out of context”. But in any event, after trying to normalize attempted rape as something that teenage boys just do because of all the hormones they have… suffice to say that she’s unlikely to ever win office, and that her only legacy will have been to reset the number of days since a Republican said something extremely disturbing about rape back to zero.

Trump’s Mar-a-Lago is in the projected path of Hurricane Dorian

Hurricane Dorian is threatening to strike Florida near Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump’s prized South Florida resort.

The storm is projected to make landfall as a Category 4 hurricane on Monday, with Melbourne as the most likely landing spot. That’s about 115 miles north of Palm Beach, where Trump’s ocean-front hotel is situated. Mar-a-Lago remains in the “cone of uncertainty" — the range of potential paths the hurricane could take as it strengthens in the Caribbean.

Previous hurricane models suggested Dorian could pass right through the so-called Winter White House, a frequent destination for Trump’s working vacations. As of Thursday morning, though, the storm’s path has shifted slightly north as it slows its forward motion and intensifies.
Trump cancels trip to Poland, sends Pence in his place. How much do you want to bet he only did it after someone told him Mar a Largo was right in the path od Dorian?

Grouchy Graham is nothing more than a Trump buttmunch and a Faux News gadfly, but Moscow Mitch has singlehanded obstructed everything involved for government for the last decade while working his ass off to stack the courts with right wing ideologues to make life hell for everyone decades after Trump leaves office and Turtle Boy has retired from politics.

I hope Dorian wipes Mar-a-Lago off the fucking map.
