This would be why Mitch McConnell has been so quiet about Trumps relationship with Putin and the Mueller investigation. Trump helps him ram through the Judges he wants and in return it's "case closed."
Instead of winning back Congress, Democrats should've worried more about the Senate. If RBG is forced to retire while Trump is in the White House we'll have another conservative judge rammed down our throats and it won't matter who wins the election in 2020.

I noticed that all those Sanders supporters stopped bringing up the argument that the most popular politician in the country should be the candidate ever since pollsters have stopped leaving out Biden from the poll, and he turned out more popular than Sanders.

Not in this thread specifically, but many of them are into the "made up polls" theory. Could be true, I have no idea.

He was never going to win. But he changed the dynamic of the race in ways that can't necessarily be measured . . . even if he never re-entered the race.

So a they might think a Centrist like Biden, who does talk to blue collar voters, might be what is needed.
I think the next few months are going to be really interesting to see if Biden can really win back those working Obama voters who took a chance on Trump. Some had buyers remorse immediately, but others are looking at those job numbers and are satisfied. That's why I think Joe's got to do better than, "Climate Change? Phooey! I hate Trump and you millenials get the eff off my lawn!"

Can we talk about how Trump, a President in the 21st century, actively threatened to genocide a nation?

He's really bad at threats, he goes directly for the most extreme action, no graduation, no margin.
Just like he did at first with NK.
This guy doesn't have any clue to what he's doing

He is all bark and no bite. Unlike Hillary Clinton, President Trump has no clue how to set up a dictatorship even if he wanted to.

You think Clinton was going to set up a dictatorship?

She is very smart, shrewd, manipulative, ruthless, dishonest, conniving and overambitious. If she had her way, she can get the Twenty-second Amendment repealed. (It is possible to repeal an amendment like when they repealed the 18th Amendment with the Twenty-first Amendment.)

Dude, you have to misdirect in government. At the end of the day there are things your opponents in national and on the international stage that are unable to be known about. That's why it's such a massive deal when a leak happens because governments essentially have to do sketchy shit to keep functional. You have to be conniving and ambitious (which are two descriptors that are woefully vague for this job) because virtually everybody wants to sit on the the "throne" so to speak and you have to manage/maneuver that.

You also have to have a majority in the House and Senate to change any of that and as history actually played out, Democrats did not have the ability to do so.., in fact the Republicans did and still do have the majority in the Senate. The groundwork for any change would've come from the Republicans in the Senate. They also had a numbers advantage in the House of Representatives before recently. But you also need about 38 states to be on board with that on top of having three fourths of the House and Senate.

But the reality is that despite strength in numbers, you need 3/4ths of the Senate, House, and State to be on board with a change and we know that nobody could agree on much of anything, so appealing an amendment like the twenty-second was never in the cards. A Clinton-led Dictatorship is laughable by that means and doesn't change the fact that if anybody had the means of launching a Dictatorship, it would've been Republican backed. But even when they had the lead nothing ever happened outside of pulling plays from the Nazi playbook so there you go. Republican or Democrat you'd been either limp-dick or White Supremacist.

It's to say that nobody was ever going to launch a dictatorship let alone any successful.

You didn't read certain Anti-Clinton books, so you don't know the sleazy underhanded backroom deals she could spin with her illuminati backing.

El Presidente for Life Hilldawg was a totally cereal threat you should have feared like smart people did.
