Oh, poor Mr. Mets. He has to live in a district where his voice is marginalized and irrelevant. Welcome to my world. And before you start with "Ah, you got Andre Carson, and before that his mother Julia Carson", the district was held by Republicans for over 50 years. In a state dominated by Republicans, that votes Republican in national elections (where I'm still baffled we went with Obama in 2008).

Seriously; if it's so rough for him, there's always Staten Island. Aside from the Expressway, it's practically New York's Republican outpost.

Travel across the Hudson, far enough west, and he'll find very red communities. My community is strongly Republican, though we Democrats are starting to make some cracks in that dominance. Even if we are outnumbered.

Once again, this "civility" argument is nothing new. They told Black civil rights activists in the 1960s to calm down and be more civil. Yeah, because civility got them so much, right? <sarcasm>

"Civility" is what the bully cries when we make him take a little bit of his own medicine.

A Georgia Lawmaker Emotionally Described Being Told This Week To "Go Back" To Where She Came From

After a week of controversy sparked by President Trump's racist tweets against four Democratic women of color, a black Georgia state representative described being harassed at a grocery store by a white man on Friday, who she said called her ignorant and told her to "go back" where she came from.

State Rep. Erica Thomas described the incident in an emotional Facebook video after it took place at her local Publix store in an Atlanta suburb.

"I hope this video opens up people’s eyes," she said. "There’s so much hate in this world and it's being incited by our president, every single day. And people are really doing more and more and more. This happened to me, it could happen to anybody."

I bring his and the rest of the Republican party's "shortcomings" up all of the time and you never answer directly.

Now you're trying to harp on "civility" while dodging my question regarding why we should ignore how Republicans treated the very "civil" Obama for eight years -- it's not about Trump, it's about the Republican party that elected him as president.

Being "civil" with you does nothing to keep my voting rights from being curtailed and children from being abused by Republicans -- it didn't do anything for Obama and it isn't proving any more effective with you; despite months of discussing the same old issues with you, your party is worse than ever before.



Obama proved that "civility" only allows Republicans to treat you like dirt, and with that in mind, I'm done even discussing the subject.

Yeah, at the risk of engendering whataboutism, even though I never witnessed him being uncivil himself, I guarantee Mets never gave a flying **** about civility when Obama was President.

So when Mets is told that the actual important issues are Climate Change, Healthcare and income inequity, he ignores those to bring up a BS topic like civility. Yeah, that's the pressing issue of our time.
It's like the made up "immigration crisis" has to be solved before we can get the kids out of cages.

What’s more, you don’t have to be a politician to hear those hateful words. Words Caramel Caligula could have loudly and strongly disavowed, instead, he doubled down on the ugliness, showing the world that he most definitely is spreading racism to a whole new generation.

Russia's Secret Intelligence Agency Hacked: 'Largest Data Breach In Its History'

Red faces in Moscow this weekend, with the news that hackers have successfully targeted FSB—Russia's Federal Security Service, making off with 7.5 terabytes of data which exposed secret projects to de-anonymize Tor browsing, scrape social media, and help the state split its internet off from the rest of the world. The data was passed to mainstream media outlets for publishing.

A week ago, on July 13, hackers under the name 0v1ru$ reportedly breached SyTech, a major FSB contractor working on a range of live and exploratory internet projects. With the data stolen, 0v1ru$ left a smiling Yoba Face on SyTech's homepage alongside pictures purporting to showcase the breach. 0v1ru$ then passed the data itself to the larger hacking group Digital Revolution, which shared the files with various media outlets and the headlines with Twitter—taunting FSB that the agency should maybe rename one of its breached activities "Project Collander."
