Twitter LinkWell this is something. Apparently there’s a blackout in midtown Manhattan. MSNBC is back on the air thanks to a backup generator, but most of 30 Rock is dark. Started feeling like I was in a post-apocalyptic movie as I made my way outside. (The streetlights are all out too)
Lot's of images of NYC in the dark.
NYC mayor: "Blackout is between W 42nd St and 72nd St ... NYPD has confirmed that there’s no foul play. This was a mechanical issue. NYPD & FDNY are currently responding to people with the most urgent needs, especially those stuck in elevators."

Kamala Harris has called for the legalization of sex work, and wants pimps prosecuted more harshly than prostitutes until that happens.

ATTORNEY GENERAL MADIGAN ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL $3 MILLION HERBALIFE SETTLEMENTIn conjunction with a nationwide Federal Trade Commission (FTC) $200 million settlement with Herbalife, Attorney General Lisa Madigan today announced that Illinois Herbalife members will benefit from an additional $3 million settlement with the company to resolve numerous complaints about its false and misleading claims that lured people into a costly multi-level marketing scheme.
Under the Illinois agreement, Herbalife, which sells global nutrition and weight management products, must pay an additional $3 million in restitution to affected Illinois members who joined Herbalife from 2009 through the present. The FTC reached a separate $200 million settlement with Herbalife that will provide reimbursement to impacted members nationwide, including in Illinois.
The problem there is the idea that it's "Tougher Than Trump..."
If Harris is already a tough sell for someone based on their politics, Trump was already a non-starter.
Trying to frame it like it is "Either/Or" when primary voters have other options makes right around "Zero" sense.
Dude, come on.
We are talking about someone who very clearly said "It's ridiculous." about Prop K.
Now that there's something in it for her if she pulls a U-turn? No longer ridiculous.
Let alone Herbalife.
That play doesn't even make it into "Not So Progressive..." It's strictly "I'm Out To Get Mine."
Which isn't even the worst thing ever. It's about par for the course for a "Business As Usual..." Democrat. It's just going to be a hard sell for folks that are actually left of center.
If you want things like Ponzi schemes being run out of business, you don't have any real reason to believe that Harris is even remotely serious about doing so.
Meanwhile, Madigan actually got extra money out of Herbalife pretty easily. Never mind just taking a run at them.

Which doesn't even really get into the many negatives that are a part of her career as an arm of California justice.
That's a whole other can of worms.
