So, there is tape of not just Trump partying hard (and dancing badly) with Jeffrey Epstein and a few dozen cheer leaders, one scene also clearly shows Trump groping one of the women repeatedly.
Or, as the more seasoned news people call days like this, Wednesday.

I have to tell the guys at work all the time. Look talking about racism is hard, and uncomfortable. But, when you are complaining about NFL players making you think for a second about that stuff. Remember you get to turn the tv off after that and go on about your business.

People with their skin color everyday have to worry about am I going to get profiled going to this store. There's that extra bit of concern if we get pulled over even though we know we havent done anything wrong except maybe hit a speed trap.

We have to be EXTRA nice, EXTRA respectful and even then sometimes its not enough.

Is someone going to call the cops on me for doing random innocuous everyday thing?

And heaven forbid you say anything or point out this shouldn't happen. Then you are playing the race card, or should be grateful you are allowed to live here.

If more people would put themselves in the shoes of minorities, just have basic empathy for things you don't have to deal with daily and adjust your life around. You would see its not wrong to say things should be better. Society should be better. More people should want to be decent and say hey stop that. Rather than some of what we are seeing now with the "oh well"

Tape's from circa 1992. He was dating Marla Maples at the time. He was palling it up groping women and likely girls with Epstein while dating Maples. Probably while married to her, too.

You have to wonder what Epstein might have on those labeled pics and videos of his that were removed from his safe.

Trump probably has to wonder as well since Epstein recorded a lot of what went on in his home.

That said, so long as Barr is in the picture it's questionable whether any "kompromat" it would ever become public knowledge even if it does exist.

    -----
"A raid on Epstein's Upper East Side residence, which is said to be worth $77 million, yielded “an extraordinary volume of photographs of nude and partially-nude young women or girls,” a court filing states.

It said Epstein, a registered sex offender had “hundreds—and perhaps thousands—of sexually suggestive photographs of fully- or partially-nude females,” and some of them appear to be of underage girls.

Some were in a locked safe that contained CDs labeled “Misc nudes 1,” and “Girl pics nude,” or even individual names, prosecutors said.

Photos of nude girls were also found during a 2005 raid on Epstein’s Palm Beach, Florida, mansion—but he never went to trial then. Instead, federal prosecutors in Miami allowed him to plead guilty to a state prostitution charge—a deal that is now under investigation."

Trump complains about the media? They're doing him a favor by putting the spotlight on the wrong crowd. Where's the group that is working on genuinely trying to fix things?

You mean like calling for his impeachment? Something the Democratic leadership is still refusing to do.

Tax cuts for the rich and a Supreme Court justice denied to Obama and given to Trump by McConnell -- it's not like he reversed a Republican recession (the second worst in American history) or gave millions more people access to affordable health care.

Everyone knows that most of what Trump has, he got from his father, including his racist, xenophobic views.

    -----
"[T]he New York Times asked Donald Trump about the possibility that his father had been arrested at a Klan event. The younger Trump denied it all, telling interviewer Jason Horowitz that "it never happened" four times. When Horowitz asked if his father had lived at 175-24 Devonshire Road—the address listed for the Fred Trump arrested at the 1927 Klan rally—Donald dismissed the claim as "totally false."

"We lived on Wareham," he told Horowitz. "The Devonshire—I know there is a road 'Devonshire,' but I don't think my father ever lived on Devonshire." Trump went on to deny everything else in the Times' account of the 1927 rally: "It shouldn't be written because it never happened, number one. And number two, there was nobody charged.

Biographical records confirm that the Trump family did live on Wareham Place in Queens in the 1940s, when Donald was a kid. But according to at least one archived newspaper clip, Fred Trump also lived at 175-24 Devonshire Road: A wedding announcement in the January 22, 1936 issue of the Long Island Daily Press, places Fred Trump at that address, and refers to his wife as "Mary MacLeod," which is Donald Trump's mother's maiden name.

Moreover, three additional newspaper clips unearthed by VICE contain separate accounts of Fred Trump's arrest at the May 1927 KKK rally in Queens, each of which seems to confirm the Times account of the events that day. While the clips don't confirm whether Fred Trump was actually a member of the Klan, they do suggest that the rally—and the subsequent arrests—did happen, and did involve Donald Trump's father, contrary to the candidate's denials.

A fifth article mentions the seven arrestees without giving names, and claims that all of the individuals arrested—presumably including Trump—were wearing Klan attire...

Another article about the rally, published by the Long Island Daily Press on June 2, 1927, mentions that there were seven arrestees without listing names, and claims that all of the individuals arrested were wearing Klan attire. The story, titled "Meeting on Parade Is Called Off," focuses on the police actions at the rally, noting criticism of the cops for brutally lashing out at the Klan supporters, who had assembled during a Memorial Day parade."

He is currently helping African American communities with his Opportunity Zones. This is something that Nipsey Hussle took advantage of.

'The Opportunity Zones incentive is a new community investment tool established by Congress in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 to encourage long term investments in low income urban and rural communities nationwide.'

The zones have come under criticism from consumer advocates, who warn that they may not drive investment to truly distressed areas. The official communities designated as zones include some census tracts that are rapidly gentrifying — which could end up delivering large benefits to wealthy developers who would have invested in those areas without the Trump administration’s tax advantage.

Among the designated tracts that have stirred controversy is the section of Long Island City that Amazon has picked for one of its two new headquarters. While the tract sits near a fairly low-income section of Queens, it includes a fast-developing area with wine bars and a view of Manhattan.

You claim this as an "accomplishment" -- do you have any solid evidence of what it has accomplished so far in terms of helping said communities? The articles I read were short on details, and good intentions don't count as "accomplishments" unless they are successful.

Tax cuts have always been touted as a "solution" to economic problems by Republicans but rarely do they work as planned -- with that in mind I wouldn't call it an "accomplishment" until we see what it actually accomplishes in the long-term.

From what I have read, the top firms who have taken advantage of this are "minority" companies like Goldman Sachs.

I do think there is some room to constructively criticize them. Godzilla seems to want them to perform miracles, but I think they're doing a lot of good in the capacity they have served so far. They are actively using the powers of Congress as they are intended for the benefit of common people. It cannot be overstated how awesome that is.

However, their particular ideology is not yet popular or particularly powerful across the country. Most of the Dem wins in 2018 were center left so I'd constructively criticize them to be more mindful of where the country is. Their Twitter following, no matter how large, is not a particularly good indication of where most of the country is. I implore them to keep pushing the population in the right direction, but be mindful of where it is now. That's what Pelosi is doing and sometimes I feel like they unnecessarily criticize establishment Democrats out of passion, whereas Pelosi is correctly trying to calculate. Passion only takes you so far, so fast.

I worry socialism will be the effective hammer that delivers another Trump win. They can't serve him that hammer on a platter.

"I used to work in US intelligence advising presidents on risk. The biggest threat to our country today is the Republican Party"

"Let me say it again: the Republican Party is the biggest threat the United States is facing. And without proper attribution, recognition, and a well-articulated and implemented counter-strategy, it could be terminal.

There is no other reasonable conclusion to be drawn from the facts.

An enemy of the United States might seek to sow discord between ethnic groups, or to wage a disinformation campaign, or to highlight moral inconsistencies that weaken the standing of the United States on the world stage. An enemy of the United States might try and degrade the capacity and public trust within our intelligence apparatus. It might use propaganda and weaponized information. It might seek to engage in fraud or other criminal acts to sway an election in their favor.

Does any of that sound familiar?

The Republican Party has steadily embraced authoritarianism, suspect electoral tactics, and racism more and more over the past few decades. That process has been turbocharged with Trump at the helm of the party.

We’re now seeing an explicit embrace of white supremacy. Denial in the face of climate change. Deliberate sowing of discord within the FBI and the CIA. Weakening of the rule of law. Brazen criminality. Removing funding for elections oversight. Blatant human rights abuses at the border.

The explicit nature of these acts is the point. The Republicans mean to bludgeon any and all resistance to their reshaping of the nation’s institutions to their will."
