People are putting themselves on the line to protect others from ICE raids.

If you see ICE abducting anyone, do what you can to stop them.

I’m an evangelist and a Trump voter. But Trump as the ‘second coming of God’ is blasphemous.

Since President Trump’s election, many in the evangelical community have lauded him, grateful for his work to protect and propel some of the Christian values we hold so dear. The support has been unwavering, as he enjoys high marks from about 70 percent of evangelicals, many of whom are so concerned with protecting their rights and key issues that they don’t want to do anything that might jeopardize that support for Trump and cause people to vote against him.

But perhaps one of Trump’s most disturbing steps came Wednesday, when the president, who claims to be a Christian, tweeted quotes of and therefore validated radio host’s Wayne Allyn Root words that “the Jewish people love [Trump] … like he’s the King of Israel. They love him like he is the second coming of God.”

Christians believe and profess that the only true “King of Israel” is God, as clearly stated in Isaiah 44:6, and that he sent his son, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, into this world. That makes the description of Trump as “the second coming of God” shocking, blasphemous and sacrilegious.

This gay teen figured out a way to keep Trump’s rallies empty AF

17-year-old gay teen known only as Noah started a campaign to help keep Trump’s public rallies empty: Noah encourages people to reserve rally seats via Trump’s website and then not show up. This keeps Trump’s actual supporters waiting outside and leaves Trump speaking to arenas full of empty seats — double score!

Related: Try not to laugh, but alt-right troll Milo Yiannopoulos is in serious financial trouble

In an August 10, 2019 tweet, Noah wrote, “Hey everyone, you totally shouldn’t go on tr*mp’s website and reserve tickets for his rally and not show up so that there’s empty seats (the tickets are free) but you should definitely not do that!!!”

His tweet got over 40,000 retweets, but he didn’t expect anyone to take his idea seriously. But then, according to Out magazine:
According to reports, “thousands of Trump supporters were locked out of the (August 15) SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire” for a reelection rally, even though there were many empty seats inside. Thousands of empty seats, according to tweets from the event. It got so bad that #EmptySeatMAGATour started trending on Twitter.

Trump Has Told Friends That Gutting Medicare Could Be a Fun “Second-Term Project”

When Donald Trump was running for president, he boldly proclaimed that he would not only balance the budget, he would eliminate the entire national debt, which at the time was approximately $19 trillion. That, of course, was about as likely to happen as Don Jr. going vegan or Ivanka publicly admitting that her father is a sick individual who needs help. Instead, President Trump has pushed the federal deficit to new heights thanks to a tax cut that did not, in fact, “pay for itself,” and a trade war that has turned out to be neither “good” nor “easy to win.”
On Wednesday, the Congressional Budget Office said that the federal deficit will reach $960 billion for the 2019 fiscal year, which ends September 30, and breach the $1 trillion mark in 2020. Previously those figures were expected to come in at $896 billion and $892 billion, respectively, but the damage from the president’s tariffs, along with a sharp falloff in revenue thanks to the 2017 tax cuts, have caused deficit projections to rise faster than expected. Incredibly, this is all happening against the backdrop of the longest economic expansion on record and the lowest jobless rate in 50 years, conditions that typically cause the budget deficit to shrink. And under the continued tutelage of Donald Trump, the New York Times reports, things are only expected to get worse:
Mr. Trump has shown little inclination to prioritize deficit reduction, and has instead considered policies that would add to the debt. The president has mused in recent days about reducing the taxes that investors pay on capital gains, a move that is estimated to add $100 billion to deficits over the next decade. He has also talked about cutting payroll taxes, which could reduce revenues by $75 billion a year for every percentage point cut in payroll tax rates.

The president also wants to make permanent many of the temporary individual tax cuts contained in the 2017 law, which are scheduled to expire in 2025. The budget office forecast assumes those cuts expire and tax revenues rise; if they do not, future deficit projections would be even larger.

The need to borrow more money has been aggravated by several bipartisan budget agreements to raise military and nondefense domestic discretionary spending. And it could increase if the trade war further chills business investment and consumer spending, resulting in slower economic growth and fewer tax dollars flowing to the Treasury Department.

    Cops being racist trash

FresnoPolice raided an apartment complex, supposedly for ‘gang operation,” forced Blacks outside to frisk them, and then savagely beat a 17 year old high school student without provocation.

Officer Christopher Martinez, also a boxer, escalated the altercation.

It was on this date in 2014 that "Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day" published our profile of Cliff Stearns, a twelve-term Florida Congressman who at one point during the debate over the Zadroga Bill that would provide medical coverage for 9/11 first responders, suggested that those American heroes should have to first go through background checks to assure they weren’t on a terror watch list before they could get coverage. He was also accused of offering someone a bribe to drop out of a primary, along with a variety of other ethics violations, voiced his suspicions about President Obama’s birth certificate, and led the GOP charge in their 2011 attempt to defund Planned Parenthood. In the 2012 elections, during the primary for his House seat, Stearns underestimated Tea Party candidate Ted Yoho, got upset, and thus ended up going into an early retirement, being given a fond send-off from Republicans at the 2012 RNC.

It was on this date in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, that “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day" shared our profiles of the U.S. House Representative from California’s 25th Congressional District, Steven Knight, who prior to being elected to Congress as a California State Senator, campaigned hard to keep the Confederate flag being sold at gift shops in the state (in spite of California not being a part of the Confederacy), showed a fervent need to uphold California’s ban on bilingual education, cast a vote against a ban on gay conversion therapy, and that he was also a supporter of Proposition 8, the anti-gay marriage ban in California, completing a hat trick of bigotry to be on the wrong side of African-Americans, Hispanics AND the LGBTQ community. Knight was also against workers’ rights, and even simple ideas like raising the minimum wage. Since arriving in Washington, Rep. Knight has been a consistent conservative vote, particularly anti-abortion legislation, supporting such laws regardless of if they attempt to redefine rape and incest, and voting for a ban on abortion at 20 weeks. We did mention how narrowly Knight was elected, and that his seat is considered vulnerable in the 2016 elections from both the left, and right, because of his reaction to anti-amnesty immigration protesters who showed up at his office on April 21st, 2015. One of the protesters shook Rep. Knight’s hand, and accused him of lying, saying he researched Knight’s vote on HR 240, and that he had “voted for amnesty for immigrants”. Now, that might not be the most nuanced interpretation of Knight’s vote (considering that the alternative was to defund the Department of Homeland Security). But perhaps the best way to respond would not have been Rep. Knight’s response, which was, “If you touch me again, I’ll drop your ass.” Go figure, threatening to beat up your own constituents will not endear you to them.

After all of those votes, Steven Knight saw protesters turn up outside of his offices, as well as at town halls he hosted where his constituents brought the heat over his AHCA vote and votes on broadband policies. Steven Knight was considered one of the most vulnerable Republican incumbents in 2018, and even though his district had not voted Democratic since 1993, Katie Hill managed to flip his seat with the help of the Blue Wave, as Knight only got 45.6% of the vote.

We now would like to wish him the finest of “good riddance” salutes.

Bernie's Green New Deal proposals and his Criminal Justice Reform proposals (and his recent labor union stuff tbh as well) have been some of the most compelling and to be honest the boldest plans anyone has released on either. That's why people like him. He doesn't bullshit and start out with half measures. Will he have to compromise some stuff if he wins? Absolutely. But at least he isn't starting out conceding all the ground to Republicans

This raises some difficult questions. There's certainly an argument that in some cases parents shouldn't be allowed to make medical decisions for their children (IE-anti-vaxxers) so where should the line be drawn? It does seem everyone here has the child's best interests at heart.
    Sincerely,
