I don't do requests for people I have on ignore, as a rule of principle. Nor do I quote them.
I do, however, let them choose to self-identify as someone I'm generically talking about, without ever having named them as an example of a generic "type" I'm discussing.

Note about earlier this week: I find it ironic that some of the same Bernie Bros I've seen who wanted Hillary to cede the nomination she had already won in 2016 to Bernie after she fainted at the 9/11 Anniversary, and fell for Russian bots spreading lies about her health to now be claiming him having a heart attack, and his campaign keeping quiet about it for three days "isn't a big deal".
Again: Occam's Razor tells me that the folks that would argue both points might be sexist, but definitely are a hypocrite.

Elizabeth Warren targets Facebook's ad policy -- with a Facebook ad
(CNN)A fresh series of Facebook ads this week by Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren seeks to put the social media giant on the defensive — by telling a lie.
The ads, which began running widely on Thursday, start with a bold but obvious falsehood: That Facebook and its CEO Mark Zuckerberg have endorsed President Trump's reelection campaign.
"You're probably shocked," reads the ad, which has already reached tens of thousands of viewers nationwide. "And you might be thinking, 'how could this possibly be true?' Well, it's not."
The ad's own admission of a lie seeks to draw attention to a controversial Facebook policy Warren has spent days criticizing. Under the policy, Facebook exempts ads by politicians from third-party fact-checking — a loophole, Warren says, that allows Zuckerberg to continue taking "gobs of money" from Trump's campaign despite Trump's ads telling untruths about former Vice President Joe Biden and his son.
Warren's escalating criticism of Zuckerberg highlights the backlash Facebook has faced as it has defended its policy on political advertising. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, another Democratic candidate, tweeted on Thursday that online platforms like Facebook need a "truth standard for paid ads." And Biden's campaign has compared Trump's ads to Russian-backed disinformation.

News4 talks one-on-one with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo
Videos included. How can Pompeo lie with a straight face? Well, actually it was barely straight, I think he was starting to crack a little.NASHVILLE (WSMV) - The US Secretary of State visited Nashville on Friday and sat down for a one-on-one interview with News4 where he spoke about several issues, but there was one question he refused to answer.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo started the day joking with Christian counselors in Nashville.
"...And it's a heck of a day not to be in Washington today," he laughed.
In Washington, former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch testified in an inquiry. Yovanovitch, a career diplomat.
The inquiry centers on allegations that President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani pressured Ukraine to investigate the president's rivals.

This was an excellent post. It's even more bizarre to me that someone would use these labels to reject someone's "music" while going to lengths to shrug off the sexism in their music.
This is the problem with those who reject the spectrum and try to weaponize it against candidates and supporters: it becomes this blunt tool that is so specific it stops having any value. Being a conservative or a liberal who only accepts others as part of their coalition if they agree 100% has rendered themselves irrelevant to the political process. In fact, probably harmful to their own cause.
Winning an election requires a broad coalition of votes. The more restrictive your labels - and the more you attack those that you deem unworthy of them - the more you narrow your coalition. Then you lose elections.
Common thread for Mueller, Ukraine and Syria: Russia Helps Trump, Trump Helps Russia
Just as the furor over Robert Mueller’s Trump-Russia investigation subsided over the summer, two new international storms engulfed the White House.
On Ukraine, President Donald Trump’s use of diplomatic pressure to damage a 2020 election rival have House Democrats poised to impeach him. On Syria, his green light for Turkey to attack American-aligned Kurdish forces has roiled Republicans, too.
The simultaneous spectacles may confuse average Americans who pay scant attention to foreign affairs. In fact, they contain a common thread.
In each case, the president has helped Vladimir Putin’s Russia, which has helped him for years with money and political support. They represent different chapters of the same story.

I feel that Biden will be the nominee but I hope it's Warren.
White House accidentally sends Ukraine talking points to Democrats again
Nothing accidental about it, someone in the WH wants the Democrats to know what is going on.
The White House accidentally sent Democrats a list of talking points related to ex-Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch’s Friday House deposition, two sources with knowledge of the email told The Hill, the second time in a month the administration has sent its Ukraine talking points to Democrats.
The email included guidance for Republicans seeking to defend the president from potentially damaging witness testimony from an ambassador who was removed from her post in May under controversial circumstances.
In copies of the guidance shared with The Hill, the White House encouraged Republicans to adopt a series of messages designed to turn the tables back on Democrats, including attacks on House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s (D-Calif.) handling of the investigation.
Yovanovitch told House lawmakers that she was removed after “a concerted campaign" against her from President Trump and his allies.
She also said in her opening statement that the State Department had "been under pressure from the president to remove me since the summer of 2018."

Trump’s Plan To Privatize Medicare
Last week, President Donald Trump signed an executive order titled “Protecting and Improving Medicare for Our Nation’s Seniors.” The order is the latest example of how Trump says one thing while doing another. Rather than strengthening Medicare, Trump envisions turning large swaths of the 54-year-old program for the elderly over to the private sector while directing the federal government to dismantle safeguards on seniors’ health care access, shift costs onto beneficiaries, and limit seniors’ choice of providers.
Among other things, the executive order lays out a path to:
Shift the Medicare program toward private plans
Expand private contracting between beneficiaries and providers, putting seniors at risk for higher costs and surprise medical bills
Further restrict seniors’ choice of providers in Medicare Advantage
Expand Medicare Medical Savings Accounts as a tax shelter for the wealthy

There are political ideologies other than conservatism and liberalism.
It is a strawman to say that not accepting centrists and right-wingers to be left-wing is because they don't align 100% with our personal beliefs. Jeremy Corbyn, Evo Morales, and Pablo Iglesias are left-wing politicians that I have many disagreements with. Sanders, who I said was barely left-wing, shares basically no identical political positions with me.
Being critical of politicians does not mean I won't vote for them, and I've voted for those that aren't left-wing.
Many seem to think that unless a candidate is a perfect match for them, who they agree with 100% on every issue, the candidate is imperfect and thus 'Just as bad' as their opposition; undeserving of their vote. The issues that will be decided if these candidates win or lose seem to be of little consequence to them.

Then perhaps you should do away with the labels as attacks. They are subjective and dismissive and do nothing to further the success of anything left of center. Your posts reject the spectrum and ostracize ideologies that aren't as left as you are despite whatever you say here. (Or more common uses of left/center/right) You further demonstrate this lack of understanding about the spectrum when you post things suggesting capitalism is inherently bad and socialism isn't, even though both can be used as tools for aggressive conservatism and repression of progressive ideas.
It's not your criticism that's problematic, it's the narrowness of it. Your posts represent a significant swath of leftism that is deeply problematic for winning elections.
