This is actually pretty hard for me, because the magical world of DC is so vast, and there’s so many great stories involving them. Especially with how great DC has fleshed them out.

Same here. Zatanna and Dr. Fate are both favorites -- can't pick one over the other. Spectre is great, but he's so far beyond magic that I don't even think of him that way. Also a fan of Enchantress and White Witch.

Yeah that's not longer the case as of Johns's 2019 Shazam run. The only question is, will it be a theme that DC continue to carry on into the next run?

Why would I want to do something as silly as that? I gave up on Geoff Johns' reinvention of the hero formerly known as Captain Marvel during the first year of the New52 and have had no interest in it ever since.

So you can make informed comments that wouldn't have to be corrected? Whether you read it or don't that's up to you, I can't tell you how to spend your money. I was simply making it known that Shazam(Billy Batson) also should have a place in this thread.
