Favorite Hero by Year of Debut: Round 3, Part 3 (1942 - 1959)

OK moving along to Round 3! As you know, I've moved the teams to a separate thread. Also, this round I'll separate any duos. And as always the lowest vote-getters have been eliminated. Vote for your favorites! As many as you like!

There are several heavy hitters here--Superboy, Supergirl, Flash, Green Lantern--and some sentimental favourites--Robotman, Mary Marvel, Johnny Thunder, Phantom Stranger. I know that I could choose all of them, but I'm committed to selecting just one.

I've decided that should be Krypto. There aren't many animals up for voting and in the 1950s, animals were some of the leading stars of the era--funny animals like Peter Panda, adventure animals like Rex the Wonder Dog and western animals like Black Lightning (Johnny Thunder's horse).

Also, did you know that the Super-Dog from Krypton appeared before the Manhunter from Mars and the Human Thunderbolt? For those who believe in the so-called Silver Age, shouldn't that make Krypto's arrival where it all began?
