Kirby was heavily influenced by Doc Savage's Fab Five, which were synthesized in the Challengers.
Which were then re-purposed into the Fantastic Four.
The Wolf PACK drew from the similar template.
As did A-Team also somewhat a borrowed throwback to the Doc Savage templates.

Finding a Non-Marvel Herb Trimpe cover was a little harder that I thought it would be, found about 10 out of 1500ish. Herb made his MARVEL !

Truth is Mattel & Kirby's designed Wolf P.A.C.K came first, although I wouldn't be surprised if Village People were in fact somewhat inspired by these exaggerated "Macho Men " There is more than enough subtext LOL. ; )

I vaguely remember owning Big Jim, one of the karate chop action guys (you'd press a button on his back and his arm would chop down) and Zorak with the switching faces. I must have been around 6 years old.
