It's cool how Norman Osborn was still responsible for Gwen's death and his masterminding of Warren explains so many things that the first and second clone saga didn't. How did an ESU hack professor like Warren invent human cloning, where did he get the money for those elaborate labs and tech that he used in the second saga on ESU wages, and did Norman plan each and every single thing and so on?
Here Norman funded Warren's new business venture and project behind the scenes and told him that he can have it if he gives Norman the clones he asked for. Then this guy delays and focuses on Gwen because he's a creep...Norman gets fed up and asks Harry to pay a visit to him like a mob hitman and things just go wrong in so many ways at once. It feels more believable and grounded, and it feels like a Spider-Man story finally.
