I just reread Final Crisis, and near the end they say Darkside always hated music.
Why ?
Are there any examples of this?
Had a google but can't find anything.

The only thing that pops into my head is music is an expression of joy.
I think something like Cannibal Corpse might change Darkseid's view of music.
"My name is Wally West. I'm the fastest man alive!"
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.
I don't know if it had been mentioned before, but it makes sense. Music also brings people together and Darkseid wouldn't want anyone connecting to each other.
Also, Grant Morrison established that music can be used to travel between dimensions.
But I think the cultural harmony mentioned by j9ac9k would be a bigger annoyance to him.
"There's magic in the sound of analog audio." - CNET.
It seems like such an important part of the story, essentially how the hero defeats the villian, that it just sort of comes a bit out of nowhere to my untrained eyes.
When Darkseid was young he wanted to play the clarinet, but he could never play in tune. One particular horrific moment at his first Christmas concert he had a solo. Needless to say it didn’t go well and people in the audience began to laugh. He slaughtered them all and destroyed all the instruments on stage thus beginning his hatred of music.
