Marvel and Spawn Universes

Are the Marvel universe and Spawn universe related? If so, is it official that they are related? Angela which is originally a Spawn character is now a Marvel character complete with her homeworld of Heven. In the Marvel Angela path, did she ever encounter Spawn making Spawn a part of the Marvel universe as well?

Angela is a special case, she was acquired by Marvel via Neil Gaiman due to a legal dispute Gaiman had with McFarlane over some Spawn material he wrote. Gaiman won the rights to Angela from McFarlane, he then gave her to Marvel. So her time in the Image universe isn't really referenced, but it is implied by her presence that the Image universe is part of the Marvel multiverse, with Heven having access to both universes. But it's all pretty much hand waved away, because legally Marvel can't reference much from the Image universe, including Spawn, they only have the rights to Angela, so it's pretty much just never mentioned, she's gone full Asgardian now, and the Spawn stuff is this vague thing somewhere in her backstory, but it will never be brought up, most likely.

I thought Marvel's Angela was simply a rebooted version of the character?

She may as well be, but when she was first brought in to the universe it was because things got messed up and she got sucked into the MU. I guess it might be interpreted as just being pulled from Heven, though, in hindsight, since it was sealed off at that time. It was all very vague from what I remember.

As you can see, very vague, it doesn't say where she got pulled FROM, just that it is apparently not the MU.
