I agree, the lyrics and song seem like a perfect fit for what's happened with him for the past decade and the possible way forward.

I also find myself thinking of Liu Kang and Raiden in the recent Mortal Kombat games because of that. Both of them were heroic types, both corrupted by darker influences, and MK11 deals extensively with it.

For some reason, this got me thinking of "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton, and that now suddenly makes me think of Quicksilver. Stuff having to do with speed and time both generally make me think of him lately, and I'm seeing a lot of potential in that.

Every time I hear this song, I think of Genosha. The horror of how shockingly quickly everything went from a nice, pleasant day to a complete bloodbath of millions of innocent people. Then the guilt and self-blame in the immediate aftermath of feeling like it's all her fault because she was part of the reason they were all there, and she couldn't protect them. Then trying to convince herself she doesn't care because otherwise the weight of it would emotionally destroy her.

For some reason, "Kids In America" by Kim Wilde makes me think of the New Mutants. Probably the mix of topic and it being from the 80s when New Mutants was launched.

Things I really like include comics and music. I'm an old school punk rocker as well, and of course the All New All Different X-Men coincided really nicely with the start of the punk rock era.
