Chris Claremont on the big screen.
I was the only person in the cinema who recognized him! I had to point it out to my friends. He deserved to be in it for obvious reasons.
I can't express how nervous I felt waiting to see if spoilers:end of spoilers That alone would have been worth the ticket but the rest of the movie was awesome, too.
Scott and Jean would make a cameo... and they did! Alive and well!

Other than that, the film was amazing.
for what it was it was ok, not great, just ok. If anything it made me hate 616 Cyclops even more

You don't remember his cameo in X3? http://www.herogohome.com/wp-content...emontCameo.jpg
Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!
I give X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) a B-. It was infinitely better than X-Men: The Last Stand, but X2 remains the bar-setter of the franchise to me. The movie starts off well enough, but it kind of sputters on for awhile. The last 30-minutes or so is really what hooked me. Some great work by a stellar cast, but in the end it was Stewart and McKellen that grounded the film. A lot of major actors seemed relegated to cameos, but in the end I'm grateful to Singer for cleaning up the mess that is X3 with his surprise ending. That said, I really enjoyed the Quicksilver scene (you'll know which I' talking about) and the too few highlights given to Storm, Iceman, Blink, and the many others deftly featured in this go 'round. Be sure to stick around after the credits for a (brief) glimpse of things to come.
Excellent, just excellent. Loved it from beginning to end. Great story, twists, cameos, and excellent ending.
No, it wasn't but I'd guess we were seeing the past. spoilers:end of spoilers
X-Men: Apocalypse is going to deal with 'ancient mutants', so I think we saw Apocalypse building THE pyramids.
Couldn't agree more!
With a few hours gone by, I'm starting to remember a few little things that niggled me about the movie...
spoilers:end of spoilers
Banshee and Emma Frost dead without hope of temporal resurrection. Bishop dying exactly like Darwin did in First Class [black guys can't catch a break]. The lack of immediate lockdown once all the monitors in THE PENTAGON go on the fritz. Xavier being a drug addict and Beast being his weak-willed, enabling dealer.
Young Charles' conversation with Old Charles was very inspirational.
