The young Stryker actor sort of looks like Bryan Singer.

I'm still not inspired to see this theatrically. Hope that changes.

Really liked Fassbender and McAvoy in First Class so I'm pretty happy they're in this. I think it looks like the best X-Men film yet. That said, I've only seen the trailers and some clips so....

As have 99% of everyone. It does look like the best x-film. The trailers couldn't have done anything more to show that.

So just got out of Amazing Spider Man 2 and saw the end credit DOFP past seen and was a bit underwhelmed. Thought they could have picked a more exciting scene to show to get people hyped up for the movie. Not a big deal as I am going to watch anyway but there was definitely more excitement by people who say the trailer than there was for this scene.

I took my nephews to see ASM 2 today, and the people in front of me said "huh, that looks pretty good" after the trailer played

My dad is even excited to see it, and he's not a comic book fan.

It's Quicksilver's sister and I believe Singer or someone said it wasn't Wanda so the speculation is that it's Lorna.

I had no idea she was featured in the movie, it makes sense actually.
Also, does this retcon Quicksilver and her being the children of Magneto now ? Quicksilver alone is too old (or Magneto too youg) to be his son I think.

Not really. If they're going for a real-time timeline where Mags was about ten or so in 1945, then he could have had a kid in 1955 when he was 20, and that would make Quicksilver 18 in 1973, which I believe is when the movie is set.

The relevant posts for that is here:

“Is that the Scarlet Witch? No, that’s his little sister. I even had a line which I cut, where Quicksilver’s mother says to the little girl, ‘Go up and bug your sister,’ and the little girl says, ‘She bugs me!’ You never see the older sister, but it was to imply that there is an older sister for comic book fans. I ended up cutting it.

“Even though our Quicksilver is not a main character like in The Avengers, it’s a character there’s a lot of thought and concern about and it’s a character I’d like to explore further in the sequel.”
The latest trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past revealed that Quicksilver gets recruited for Magneto’s prison break by Wolverine. Screenwriter and producer Simon Kinberg has said that there “may be an allusion” to Magneto and Quicksilver’s familial connection, but that it’s “not something we fully explore yet.” Something to look forward to in X-Men: Apocalypse, perhaps?

Yeah, Quicksilver can easily be Mag's son and I think that he is although they are not exploring that in this movie. Maybe just allude to it at most.

Thanks for sharing those (and posting the Iceman in the Iceman Appreciation thread.) I wish the characters powers were more clearly defined though.
