I'll bet these evangelicals would have voted for Pontius Pilate or King Herod, too.

Please don't lump all Christians into one group. I'm a Christian and I plan on voting for Bernie. I am also a progressive. There also a lot of black Christians who didn't vote for Trump either. I love my fellow man/woman. I hate the idea that there are people who go hungry, don't have healthcare. People who are homeless and sleep on the street, people are locked up in cages along the border of US/Mexico, the US bombs other countries and topples regimes. That's just some of the things I hate about our country. There are many more.

I remember my mom raising me and five siblings and even though she worked, there were times when we went to bed hungry. That should not happen in this world, but especially in this so called "great country". I find it appalling and disgusting that there are billionaires. NO ONE should have that much money. Period.

Just please, don't throw all Christians into that one group.

I didn't vote for Trump, I voted 3rd party (as I clearly stated). I'm not voting for Trump this year either. If I bother to vote, uncertain as there are no local elections of note, I'll likely be voting for the libertarian candidate again.

Not surprised though that rabidTrump hater considers a crude statement equal to actual rape.

Money and financial problems are some of the biggest answers I’ve heard.

I never said all Christians. I would never even say all evangelicals. I did, however, mean to say that evangelicals who voted for Trump would have voted for Pontious Pilate or King Herod.

Unemployment is going down. Money and business are what he has a proven track record in, it would be more surprising if he touted any other factor of his administration.

"Here are, y'know, educated, well-off, rich people in the upper elite who know that what they're doing is destroying the prospects for organized human life and do it anyway because they make more profit tomorrow. Can you think of an analog to that in human history? I really can't. I mean, I've said sometimes what's considered to be an utterly outrageous comment, that today's Republican party is the most dangerous organization in human history. It sounds outrageous but think about it for a moment. I mean Hitler didn't intend to destroy the prospects for human existence, Attila the Hun didn't intend that, nobody has, but that's what these guys intend. And it's not ignorant, uneducated, y'know, religious fundamentalists, whatever you want to blame. These are the most educated, best supported people in the world and they're doing this, eyes opened, because they make more money tomorrow. It's hard to imagine anything like it. And it's not just my opinion. Take, say... the famous Doomsday Clock set up by the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists since 1947. Each year they gather distinguished physicists, political analysts and others to look at the state of the world and make a judgement of how far we are from terminal disaster, midnight is terminal disaster. In 1947 the clock was set 7 minutes to midnight, after the atom bomb. It's moved up and back since. Now it's at the closest it's been to midnight ever. They just moved it to 2 minutes to midnight, that's where it was in 1953 when the U.S and later the U.S.S.R exploded thermonuclear weapons, which could totally destroy the world, so it went to 2 minutes. Now it's back to 2 minutes. And that's the Republican party. That's the ones who are running the country and dominating the world. There's never been a situation like this." -Noam Chomsky, March 7th, 2018.

Today is January 28th, 2020. The clock is at 100 seconds to midnight. How indeed could anyone support the people that are leading us to this? If you're still supporting this guy after all that he's done then you've gotta be in the bottom 2% in terms of intelligence.

Not sure what you are reading, but there are currently over 2 dozen rape accusations against Trump, including under age girls.

I was going to mention the same thing. Ivana also said she was raped by Trump as payback because the hair plug procedure done by a doctor she had recommended turned out to be more painful than he expected. She gave a deposition to the effect in their divorce proceedings but the case has since been sealed. However, if you can find copy of the Lost Tycoon online, the author covered that in his book. Ivana later softened her accusation so that she could get a favorable settlement. And she had to sign the usual NDA as Trump does for just about everyone these days.

Because it doesn't really matter what any politician does or says to a lot of Americans. The only thing people care about is which political party that particular politician belongs to.

How can anyone support Trump in his reelection bid? One reason: economy.

The US economy is currently going so well that the people will vote for Trump again.

Obama got re-elected because the economy is still strong under his watch.

Bush Jr. got re-elected because the economy is still strong on his watch.

Clinton got re-elected because the economy is still strong on his watch.

Bush Senior lost reelection because the economy wasn't doing well.

Reagan got re-elected because the economy is still strong on his watch.

FDR got re-elected because the economy is still strong on his watch.

Herbert Hoover was booted from the White House for dragging the country into a great depression.

And the fact that dems are still doing nothing to win over voters in rural America and the rust belt states that swung the last election to Trump.

I live in one of those states and the clip of the Dad who paid for his daughter's education through a lot of work, saving, and sacrifice where he confronted Warren about a refund is far more powerful here than any dem promises we know they probably can't keep. If anything I expect my state to go stronger for Trump than it did in 2016 especially if Warren or Sanders is the nominee.

he chose to pay for his daughter's education. Warren's suggestion (and it's a longshot that she wins the primary) was to spare future families that burden. his whining about the unfairness of it makes him sound entitled. surprise pal, college is expensive. my parents held me accountable for my grades. so i got a scholarship. and i still had a miserable experience paying back the rest of my tuition. i'm all for them making college more affordable for the next generation. better than tax dollars being wasted on more walls or missiles (the surplus is embarrassing). Trump doesn't give a damn about rural america. farms were going bankrupt left and right last year because of his trade policies. he reacted with handouts while decrying socialism.
