Yeah, dude, we're total dinosaurs. I would like to live long enough to see Didio officially retire and move to Palm Springs or something like that.

This sentiment is about as chipper as most DC books right now.

Sounds like a solid plan till you realize the replacement might be even worse

Jim Lee seems to do little more for DC than cash paychecks.

Well, I don't know how much he affect the story in comparison to visual design in New 52...

Johns then, if he still wants it

    More folks trade waiting.

More folks waiting for books to hit bins.

More folks waiting on sales (looking at you Midtown comics)

I would suspect more folks buying indie books whose numbers tend to stay the same in terms of ordering. I mean if you were reading Wrong Earth & Batgirl-you had to buy ONE-Wrong Earth wins as it would be the harder one to find later on.

I'm not buying Batgirl, don't think I ever have unless it was a Nighwing tie-in. I WOULD buy a Rita Farr Elasti-Girl series.

My comic book store did 25 cent comics along with Free Comic book day.

I left with 62 books that only costed me $16 versus the $300 all of them would have cost me.

One thing I found very interesting was of the 20 long boxes-it was mainly DC Rebirth books including Doomsday Clock (TOO MANY COPIES), Action Comics 1000, Heroes in Crisis and way too much Batman & Superman books.

What I found interesting was there were only two Bat related guys who were NOT there- Tim Drake (well Young Justice #3 variant cover was there), Duke Thomas (well only 2 issues from the mini) and Nightwing.

Hopefully people are getting tired of Crossover Events and Big Death Issues. It's the only hope we have of ever stopping it.

Yeah but maybe this time it'll change.

Man, comics have become an abusive relationship.

The ones who'll be tired or already tired of Big Death are the ones who already read comics long enough to know that characters will be revived in a year. Crossovers and big events are harder because a lot of them do have appealing concept, like how Snyder introduced the Dark Multiverse.

Casuals will still be interested. Variant buyers are in it for the covers whether they're interested in the stories or not. The collectors want no hole in their favorite character appearances.

Then there's the eBay hoarders. Now they're just chaotic evil.
