Anyone else think Batman "killed" Superman so that his life force would be collected by the World Forger? That would allow Batman to essentially "free" Superman from inside the World Forger some point to help defeat him?

More or less. He's trying to outwit the World Forger and I doubt Snyder wants him to betray Clark so conclusively. The real question is whether the World Forger is aware of that deception and planning on it.
