Quite possibly the last good DC event, IMO...

Yes that explains my babble perfectly. Big idea. Concept explained in one balls to the wall cover and anyone can join in and read it.

These latest ones. I'm assuming I need to have read metal and whatever Scott Synder did after it.. which I haven't as I was reading other stuff.

Fair play 25c intro issue - that's very cool - but I can guarantee I wont have a clue what's going on in it as I will need to have read a load of things leading up to it.

It's probably like with Catwoman or Harley where they end up villain promotion art even when they're not out-and-out villains anymore.

The whole idea of Convergence would've made for an outstanding DC event.
But they wasted it on a filler story(!).

This is going to explain the state of the DC universe in Doomsday Clock...why Superman is (or at this point was) the most trusted superhero, why people don't trust metahumans, why Gotham hates Batman, where Wonder Woman goes etc

I honestly am starting to believe that hte more time passes, the less relevant the Doomsday Clock finish will be in regards to a main status quo. I think it will still matter to some degree, too much has been invested to this point to just cut tether, but I can't believe its still so key to the point where they actually would act on a mindset of producing filler waiting for the snail to cross the finish line. Not to say DC has a recent history of being particularly good planners, but even that aside its insane to basically be content producing fillers while relying on the finish of a book that's becoming vaporware in regards to completion before you can move forward like you really want to. Its just the furthest thing from a sound business decision.

    Black Manta Triumphant!

Why is Poison Ivy on that poster? Isnt she of the Green now, and more of a neutral?

"DC Continuity" is an oxymoron at this point.

How...? I know the DC and Marvel citzenry aren't really the brightest bunch, but that still seems like a stretch.

I've also heard that Lex's place in Doomsday Clock is sorta wonky now due to all this YotV stuff, though I don't know.

I'm getting Dark Reign vibes, but I don't trust DC to make it work after all their terrible decisions lately.
