Perhaps, but I don’t think so. It seemed like they were very careful not to assign a gender until now. Now there is published promotional material expressing that the mystery villain is a “he”. I very much doubt they will swerve on that. Also, as much as I would like to know the mystery villains identity at this point, I am much more interested in motivation and what this means going forward for Spidey.
