So should Mala be one of the amazons who just leaves the Island?

    YES! I think so.

Again, just my opinion - I think the on-going narrative, as in every or every other issue forward, should, no matter what's going on in the comic, have some character, who represents Diana's myth-inspired background. Further, it should be a character, who easily reminds the reader that Diana is an Amazon from a mystical place. Without such a character, Diana has to be too many things to us, when the most important she should always be is Wonder Woman.

Right now, Aphrodite is filling this narrative function. I think Mala could do it, better.

I wish the writers would think to use Mala in stories.

I like the idea that some Amazons have a bit of a rebellious streak. It gives them differing personalities and makes them more unique as people.

I like the idea that the Amazon, who was almost Wonder Woman, follows her best friend into Man's World to aid her mission, as Diana's most trusted servant. I think, together with Etta, Steve and Ferdinand, she rounds out a classic cast of characters, who have been in WW comics, for the better of a century.

I didn’t like her Earth One design. I think it has something to due with her outfit look. I like her legend of Wonder Woman design

While she pops up in different writer's runs, she's never been a developed character, so I'm really just...eh, sure, ok. Pre-crisis, she was Diana's best friend on the island, but that was really lip service more than anything; she was the best friend we didn't know much about. If someone wants to give her a personality, I'm all for it; if not, let her just be part of history. I mean, Orana was more interesting, and she only lasted two issues.
