But he was introduced during Moore's run.

Yeah but why wouldn't he want to write him in this overall unlikely scenario?

I'd most want him to do Superman. Beyond that, I'd like to see what he could do with Wonder Woman, given his work on Promethea. Or else, a Justice League run.

Realistically (or as close to real as we'll ever get), this is the best answer. Moore writes what he wants to write and giving him a set assignment may not be utilizing his ideas to their best. But if we're deep in make-believe and aren't wondering about his desires for this exercise, I'd love to see him on a hero that is heavily science based and deep enough into theory to have many aspect indistinguishable from magic. Atom or Flash for example. With Superman and Batman, the themes are well explored and there have been many different takes. What I'd like to see is Moore take a DC hero and explore that mix of humanity and whatever quantum phenomenon they hang out with.

Given what happened with second coming recently, whatever he did would include jesus & "blasphemy " because he just loves pushing the envelope. He wouldn't last one issue in today's corporate comics environment.

    Absolute legend.

I read an interview with Moore a while back, where he mentioned that if wrote Batman today, he would try to return to the goofier, more street-level, and funnier pre-Miller take on the character. I think that'd be an interesting and fun prospect, that also could do DC as a whole a lot of good, in dialing back the edgelord Batgod all over the DC line.

I don't know why, but I'd like to see him do the Creeper. I have a feeling it would be amazing. But, in essence, I agree with Shadowcat -- anything he wants.

I only remembered myself when I googled if it was Art Adams who did the art...
