The one ring increases ones personal power also it gives other weird powers like making you invisible and the power to influence weaker people’s minds.

My guess is it would amplify the range of his powers, allowing him to raise the dead all over Westeros once winter came. He could have an army as far south as King's Landing all without ever having to pass the wall.
