On second thought, maybe it wasn't filler

    spoilers:
Peter's obviously trying to attain some life experience with this subject knowing his Aunt might well be facing similar treatment
    end of spoilers

    I'm not crying! Your crying!

    Seriously, what a beautiful issue.

Right? I love these types of issues with Spider-Man.

I loved that issue. Taylor's meta-commentary ("I think it's the eyes!", "full of plot holes") were great.

So far, I like this title much better than Spencer's ASM.

Guys, how has this book been ? Not just this issue, but the book as a whole, is it good ?

Also, was this issue good ?

I personally like it, as it reminds me of the down to earth feel from Peter Parker: Spider-Man by Paul Jenkins a few years ago. But...the current plot with Aunt May having cancer has stirred up some strong feelings to say the least, particularly last issue. The first arc started off rocky, but I truly think Taylor knows his Spider-Man/Peter.

The run has been good. This issue was low-key amazing.

This was a really sweet issue. I remember when Spider-Bite was announced and some people immediately went "a new Spider-Man again? Ugh" but Tom Taylor completely flips it with this. I must say, I'm not overall impressed by this run but I loved this issue.

The last issue was so terrible, I didn't want to read another issue but I might actually give this a shot.

It was a nice story, too. But I think it looks like very much to another one Spidey had years ago, with another kid suffering a cronical desease and Spidey trying to make him feel happy in his "probably last moments". I can't hold these stories, they all have to end with the saddest ending.

I don't think it matters if it was filler (there's nothing wrong with a decent standalone story), but that is an interesting point that it does tie into ongoing stories.

I think it could be a way for Pete to deal with Aunt May and her current medical issue. It’s his way of doing what he can. Definitely a much better reaction to the situation than bringing Aunt May some comforting coffee, that’s for sure!
